I never post reviews, but Old School Jiu Jitsu holds a special place in my heart and I think more people should know about the great things going on here! The culture here is something that’s hard to find elsewhere. Everyone is friendly and inviting and you will truly feel like you are wanted. The coaches put everything they have into class and want everyone to succeed. Whether your goal is to compete, learn self defense, or just have fun you can expect to be supported along the way. Jake has done an amazing job fostering the environment within the gym and has built both an exceptional kids and adult program. I dropped in on a work trip. First thing I noticed was a very professional website that made it easy to find class times and contact information which is such a rare thing for a Jiu Jitsu school. I moved to Kirksville for school. I trained jiu-jitsu for a few years in a different state and I was initially worried about finding a gym to train at. Every gym has its own culture and I was lucky to have trained at a great place in the past. After moving to Kirksville, I found Old School Jiu Jitsu and started training. To put it simply, I love it.
