The message tried to sound friendly and concerned, but it felt like a thinly veiled sales tactic taking advantage of a vulnerable time. They asked how I "fared with the hurricane" and offered vague help, which seemed disingenuous given our lack of relationship. I find this kind of opportunistic marketing following a natural disaster to be inappropriate and potentially exploitative. Businesses should be more respectful of people's situations after such events. I would not recommend this company based on their marketing tactics. Squirrels: Unfortunately, squirrels chewed through the wiring, which was never mentioned as a possible issue during the sales presentation nor installation. Luckily, after two months of not diagnosing the problem correctly, the exposed wires didn’t cause any major damage or a fire. Less

After working with 3 different solar companies, Wattsun Solar was the ONLY - and when I mean the ONLY, I mean it was THE ONLY ONE - that was able to answer every single question, concern, engineering plan, and equipment production to the fullest detail. For me, it is not the “experience” of working with a company that is important, that’s temporary; it is the final product that will give you a lasting impact and that’s what Wattsun Solar was able to achieve with its outstanding installation, watertight seals, cable management and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, providing accuracy and truthfulness to the system production expectation. I like to wait a bit before I put a review on a company based on my experience with their company, personnel and service when it involves a large undertaking as with the installation of solar panels on a roof. After almost six months now, I think it’s fair to state: Wattsun Solar did an amazing job installing my solar panels and as of today, everything still appears to be in working order. As of the writing of this letter, the panels appear to be performing exceedingly well. Additionally, their staff arrived at my home on time and represented themselves and Wattsun Solar in a very professional manner. I appreciate the time they took to install these panels and in keeping me aware of their progress and the systems being installed. It really makes a difference when having this type of work done by individuals who reflect value in the work they do. I also want to acknowledge the time that Dennis, Wattsun’s Head Engineer (you usually do not get to speak with someone in this position when having solar panels installed, so it was a nice reflection on their quality/standards that we had a video chat regarding my system and specific setup on Saturday, October 9th), took to answer all my technical questions/concerns. This ensured confidence in my decision to go with Wattsun Solar knowing that this wasn’t a company that was just going to get on my roof, install this system and move on to the next customer. I received an almost $42k proposal for an 11.56kw home solar system from Cayden O’Brien and the proposal did more to explain how I was helping the environment then to provide any sort of breakdown for the total price. They attempted to sell me a home solar system consisting of older model Enphase Micro Inverters and older model Hanwha Q Cells solar panels. I immediately realized something was very off and upon doing research, realized this quote was way beyond $10k more than actual ethical competitors. With Tesla for example, I could get a comparable system with a Tesla Powerwall included for over $10k less than quote from WattSun. The owner Cody Peters, before referring me to his attorney, refused to provide any breakdown for the total and explained that “McDonald’s doesn’t tell you how much their meat costs.” WattSun clearly depends on consumers not being well informed and they hope that consumers won’t get multiple quotes. I think the owner did a great job summing up that his company will exceed your expectations exactly like McDonald’s meat. (And they will just as transparent as McDonald’s meat too.) Any consumer already trapped in a contract with WattSun should contact a local consumer fraud attorney to determine if you unknowingly overpaid due to their unsavory business practices. WattSun, Cody Peters, and Cayden O’Brien should all be ashamed. Get some principles and ethics! I am writing this review to warn other consumers. I have an Industrial & Physics Engineering background, so selling a solar system to a customer like me will take a few calls and meetings to discuss numbers, variables and probabilities. After working with 3 different solar companies, Wattsun Solar was the ONLY - and when I mean the ONLY, I mean it was THE ONLY ONE - that was able to answer every single question, concern, engineering plan, and equipment production to the fullest detail. For me, it is not the “experience” of working with a company that is important, that’s temporary; it is the final product that will give you a lasting impact and that’s what Wattsun Solar was able to achieve with its outstanding installation, watertight seals, cable management and, MOST IMPORTANTLY, providing accuracy and truthfulness to the system production expectation. If having solar panels installed with Wattsun Solar, or any company that requires engineering and highly technical work, PLEASE take the time to talk to the engineer before you sign. Working with Wattsun has been one of the best experiences working with a company that we’ve ever had in our lives. Cayden was our point person, from the second he knocked on our door and told us about the business he was nothing but kind, professional, real and awesome to work with. He’s hardworking, knows exactly what he’s talking about, and you can see that he really studied the solar installation process from start to finish. He was patient, answered every question and even came out a 2nd day to answer some extra questions we had about the process. If he said he would have something to you by the end of the day, we’d get it within hours. There hasn’t been one time that I called him and he didn’t answer the phone. We spoke to 5 different solar companies around the Orlando area, and none of them impressed me as much as Cayden and Wattsun did. Plus we were more than surprised that our of all of those companies they were able to offer a great price for what they were providing, plus were willing to match anyone that came provided a lower quote with using the same quality material. After we signed the contract and started the project, one thing that we really loved was that Wattsun does not subcontract, so everyone that’s had a hand in the project was in house. This ensured that the process was smooth and speedy. The team that came out to install was amazing! David, Chris, Chris, Chase, and Dennis all were kind, professional, & overall down to earth, cool guys. The entire project took 3 days to complete which was perfect & they were able to work on our time schedule. We have a tile roof in which we were told solar is harder to complete on, but they still made it happen and the tiles came out looking great. They even came back and spent an entire day fixing broken tiles! The owner of the company came out for a final walkthrough of the project, he introduced himself to me and walked me through all the little ins and outs of any concerns that we had about the project. Lastly, it looks great. We’ve seen a few other solar panels projects where the wiring was showing, and other aspects of the project looked thrown together. But for our house it looks great! Sleek and honestly made the roof of the house look nicer. They’ve truly set the gold standard for any company we work with in the future on home improvement projects. Make sure you do your due diligence like we did but I MORE THAN ASSURE YOU that no one else out there will compare to Wattsun. Less

I do NOT usually answer the door for sales calls, but Cody caught me on a day when my wife and I were getting ready to leave for the day. And I am so GLAD that he did! I was curious about solar so I invited him in to educate me. Cody was so knowledgeable but very humble in his approach. All defensiveness that I would usually feel toward a "sales presentation" was immediately gone and I began to get excited about the prospect of becoming a "net-zero" solar home! When Cody came back to meet with us with my actual numbers, (electric usage, panels needed, cost of system and government rebate credit) it was a "no brainer". HOWEVER.... I was disappointed and discouraged to find out that my roof was at end-of-life and I could not get solar installed until that was taken care of. Cody genuinely empathized with my disappointment and recommended a roofer. While I did not ultimately use that roofer, I was able to work it out to get my roof replaced and was then on to my solar installation. Cody's crew worked promptly and very courteously to get everything up and running, and I love the way it looks! Can't wait to get my first Duke Energy bill with solar! With this system you have an app that you can see how much electricity is generated and view each individual panels production. It would instantly report any outages in the system to both Cody and the panel production company and get the repair started immediately.Recently got our bill from Duke energy and owed them only for the surge protector and water heater protection plan! Momentum tried to tell me all the things "they do" that other companies "don't" do and I could see through their BS right away. WattSun explained to me that "all solar is good solar" and all it really comes down to is price (interest rate on loan), customer service and installation method. WattSun goes above and beyond with their installation ensuring the roof has a clean look and if needed they will paint the vents on the roof black to match the panels. The owner Cody is always on site checking on his guys and how the project is going along as well. The process of working with Duke to switch everything over is also made very easy. My sales rep Mike walked me through everything to make it as easy as possible. I am really happy I shopped around and found WattSun.
