It's been a great experience for my athlete child. Her coach (Natasha) is absolutely amazing, attentive and kind. We need to train the mind just as much as we train our bodies. My son is a 10-year-old hockey player who struggles with anxiety, not only around hockey but in many uncomfortable circumstances. There is a lot of content in this program but the instructor was good and he only focus on a limited number of concepts so it wasn't so overwhelming. We found that the emails that were sent proving links to instructional videos and content were geared towards adults. For the price and the discussion about being geared to kids, we expected that there would be more age-specific content. As parents we felt it was a good introduction to concepts, but for the price expected a little bit more. After our son has gone through the program, our conclusion is the we should have waited until he was 16 so he could get more out of it. Less

If you can get past that barrier, it really is quite beneficial. I learned specific strategies to help my anxieties.

During this season, we registered her for individual sessions in order to help with her confidence and preparation. She originally was working with Sam and then transitioned to Sara upon Sam's departure. It is difficult to measure the total benefit of working with a mindset coach, but we were pleased with the progress that was made in several areas. She developed a pre game routine, as well as a way to reset during games if things weren't going well. She definitely learned to let go of mistakes and not let them impact the way she played the remainder of the game. The only down side was switching half way through our sessions from Sam to Sara. It seemed like we were starting back near the beginning with her progress. That being said, Sara was truly amazing. She has a great background in order to relate to female hockey players and is also an an excellent communicator. I would highly recommend working with her. Working with Dr. Cassidy over the past 3 years has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my development as a hockey player. Over these 3 years, I completed the CEP online course, which was awesome in helping me build a strong foundation of mental skills before I continued to hone, build, and refine those skills through group and 1on1 calls with Dr. Cassidy. In the past two years specifically playing in the OHL, Dr. Cassidy has helped me tremendously in dealing with really stressful and difficult situations at times. His support in our weekly check-ins kept me in a growth mindset where I was able to stay consistently motivated and focused on improving my game every day despite the challenges that came up. The opportunity to interact with someone who has been in his skates, isn't his coach and is independent of us as parents allows him to speak freely and learn to open up and more importantly how to implement a repeatable process to handle mental challenges. I have worked with Chris for about a couple months and already my confidence has completely changed. My game and my play drastically went up and I feel like I have a huge edge over players with my mental game, as I know that the higher you play the more important it is to have a strong mental game as the physical skill gap lessens.

He has been working with my son for almost 3 years now and I can tell you that the transformation has been trajectory like! I have seen his daily regiment change. His training, eating and sleeping habits are constant. The way he puts habits into process has been incredible to see. My son is 17 now and his coaches in the last 3 years have all said that he is at a different maturity level. He has managed to live away from home also during this period. My name is Daniel Valencia, and I play hockey for the University of Tampa. For the past six months, I have been working with Nicholas Santino to improve my focus and performance on and off the ice. I’ve always struggled to focus and find “in the zone.” In addition, outside thoughts constantly distracted me while on the bench, making it very challenging to enjoy the game. All this made me struggle during games, specifically in generating points and scoring. However, it all became more manageable and more enjoyable after developing my reset routine with Nicholas. I never realized the importance of the mental game until I began to focus and apply it. As a result, I first saw the results and benefits of all this at the IIHF World Championship U-20, playing for Mexico with my brothers. Before I started the CEP High-Performance System, I was having a difficult time physically and mentally before games, especially before I pitched. I always worried about how I would perform and what the people around me would think. Results were the only thing I cared about and I did not focus on the process.I knew a CEP program would be essential to my game, but I was unsure of how it was going to improve it. Once I did my free 30-minute intro session and started a program, I began to see a positive change in my mindset and confidence. Using my personalized reset routine has helped keep me focused in the moment, instead of worrying about the outcome. Before I would pitch in a game, I was getting bad stomach aches and my body was constantly fatigued. Applying the concepts learned during the weekly sessions has allowed these negative feelings to go away. It is great to be able to present questions or concerns to Cassidy throughout these sessions because he will always give a thorough, easy to understand answer. Now that I've consistently implemented the strategies I've learned at CEP, I play the game of baseball with more enjoyment and passion. Translating a reset routine into my game has allowed me to overcome doubts and thoughts affecting my game that would of been stuck in my head throughout the whole game a few months ago that would of brought down my game quite a bit. Nicholas has also taught me the importance of imagery and how it can help improve my mental preparation for before and during games to allow me to get the best out my game. Aswell as the importance of breathing. After joining them and working with Kyle Bergh I saw a complete 180 in my mental game and performance on and off the ice. I now have to tools to stay mentally dialed and locked in and have seen a massive jump in my play on the ice. I’ve been able to statistically increase my ppg and ice time on a big scale after staring with CEP. I highly recommend working with Kyle as he has been nothing but helpful for me.
