I have had wonderful experience improving my bladder problems by 75% only getting up 2x times overnight when I'm asleep, and before 4 to 5x times every night which really causes sleep deprivation which is very unhealthy, and it will cause other problems like fatigue throughout the day. My mom had terrible problems emptying her bladder during the day and then would flood her bed at night. She was afraid to go to sleep at night for fear of the embarrassment of wetting the bed. I’ve suffered with over-active bladder syndrome for over 17 years. I had tried everything - wt. loss, kegels, medication … none of it worked. My niece in Boston had tried this sacral neuromodulation therapy last year and reported that it was a real game changer - no more bladder leaks and no more pads! Then I saw Dr. McJunkin’s infomercial on TV and soon called for a consultation. The 4-day trial of this therapy confirmed that this therapy should work well for me … and it has. My bladder leaks have been reduced about 95% and the urge to pee as soon as I stand up is gone! The decision to have the Axonics device implanted for bladder control is the best decision I ever made, second only to marrying my hubby. I have had issues with urinary incontinence for 5-6 years. Since getting this device implanted I have had no 'accidents'. Plus, I now am sleeping all night long. What an amazing life changing experience. I still did my own due diligence before making an appointment and learned he is double board certified and well thought of in his field. On my first appointment, I knew I’d found the right doctor for me. His receptionist, Lisa, is so friendly, you feel like you’ve been besties for ever. Then there’s the amazing Rosie, the doctors right hand lady. This is a small office and full of warmth and comfort. Dr Mcjunkin, Dr e Eric, Rosie, Lisa, Mitchel, Dr Sunny and Christina have been super awesome and professional. You can feel the love and caring for the patient. That’s how I felt and still feel as they continue to contact me just to check up on me to monitor my progress. Their facilities are very clean and comfortable, you always feel welcomed. Believe me, when I say I had a hysterectomy to take of the weighting down on my bladder as my urologist advised and then had the mesh put in for nothing cause I still had the incontinence issue. Went back to my urologist which he kept doing more tests and procedures in the office “Hello” plus kept charging me which I obviously am not paying🥴😣. Dr. McJunkin literally changed my life! After years of trying a sling, medication and finally a pessary, I was distraught that nothing worked for my urgency issues. Little did I realize my ongoing back problems were part of the reason my brain wasn’t getting the proper signal. I have had the stimulator for over a year and it’s been 100% effective.
