Brilliant Bee Preschool Academy

My experience at Brilliant Bee Preschool Academy was extremely disappointing. I genuinely loved the children, but the biggest issue was management, specifically Jane and Toia.
The most concerning part is that I was not the only employee who had issues with Jane. Four employees, including someone who had already left, expressed concerns about the same person. Other employees felt micromanaged, uncomfortable with how she spoke to them, and had even discussed wanting to quit. When multiple handpicked employees have the same concerns about one manager, management should look at the common denominator instead of making the employees the problem.
I felt Jane was extremely passive-aggressive, overly critical, and constantly looking for something to criticize. I also felt like I could not have an opinion or question something without it being turned against me. Toia did not make me feel like employee concerns were being handled objectively, and I felt her friendship with Jane affected how those concerns were addressed.
One situation involved a student with autism. I was a first-year teacher with no previous professional experience working with autistic students, which management knew when they hired me. My concern was that the student was spending most of the day in the classroom without meaningfully participating because she needed more support than was being provided. I communicated with her mother twice and asked once about her progress, safety, and when her therapist would be coming. I apologized for how I handled the communication and thought we had moved forward, but it was later brought up again during my evaluation. My concern was never about the child. I needed guidance and support, not for my concerns to be turned into evidence against me.
There were also other classroom concerns that I found serious. I witnessed management tell a child who had been hit to hit the other child back. I was also told by another teacher about a student urinating inside an outdoor toy while Jane was present and that the toy remained outside rather than being sanitized. Meanwhile, I felt management spent excessive time monitoring teachers through cameras and looking for minor issues.
I also had concerns about resources and planning time. I was expected to plan for multiple subjects with approximately 30 minutes of planning time and limited access to curriculum materials. Despite that, I planned, followed the curriculum, created hands-on activities, prepared materials, and documented my work. I was still criticized for not doing enough hands-on learning.
My evaluation did not accurately reflect my teaching in my opinion. Jane was not in my classroom observing my day-to-day teaching, yet her perception of me seemed to carry significant weight.
Ultimately, I believe I was fired because Jane did not like me and did not like that I was willing to speak up and question things I did not believe were appropriate. I had taken accountability for my mistakes and apologized when necessary, but I still felt like my job was being held over my head.
I was still allowed to work, plan, prepare materials, and do my job, and was even provided lunch that day before being terminated. That made the situation even more frustrating.
I genuinely loved working with the children. However, based on my experience, I would not work here again or recommend this workplace to teachers looking for a supportive and professional environment.
The biggest red flag is simple: four employees had concerns about the same manager. At some point, management needs to ask why. Toia i wish you saw that 4-5 had an issue and your bestie was the biggest one ..and Jain you are a mentally unstable demon I pray you seek the help you need.
