Our first time to eat here did not disappoint. My chicken fried steak dinner was one of the best that I've had, and I am pretty particular when it comes to CFS. It was fork tender, and it was so flavorful that I didn't even need the gravy. (I, of course, did use the gravy!) It was also HUGE, and I had only ordered the regular size. The mashed potatoes were delicious, too. The fried okra had good flavor but could've been a little crispier.My family ordered the chicken Alfredo (also a huge and delicious serving) and the chicken fried chicken (not a huge serving but still very good). The potato skins were really good, but the Mac and cheese side was just okay.Our server wasn't overly friendly, but she did her job.We were very pleased with our meal at George's (#1) and will definitely return.

OMGOSH! The menu is insane!! So large!! I watched so much food come out & wanted it all' wish I would have taken a pic yesterday!! Came back today due to weather! Opposite bar..great service and food!! B

I went here with my family of 3 and had a great time! Their food is amazing. We had the patty melt with sweet potato fries; We had the border burger with onion rings, which were even more phenomenal, and the chicken club with bacon, which was also delicious. I can't say enough good things, very yummy, only $63, not bad! Our waitress was very detail oriented and attentive. In addition, they had a great playlist going on, and had a TV as entertainment. We will definitely be back next time we are in Waco.

Worth the stop! Excellent food and $10 scooner size slush or on the rocks drinks. Great atmosphere!

Business Dinner- Server was friendly and quick. Kept my water glass full, huge WIN. Food was delicious. I can see why this place is pillar in the community.
