I hired them to redo my sidewalk/ driveway because I had a tree cut down from my city. They did an amazing job eliminating what was left of the tree and doing the cement of the side walk. We hired them for a simple leakage of roof. Dan came with one other guy, gave me a rosy explanation what is the problem. I believed him and paid 300 as downpayment. He sent 2 guys to work few hours to replace 1 skylight( cheaper looking one than what we originally had) and 3 feet of shingles around the light. He said that's all we needed plus the valley area. I honestly took his words and paid him the rest of the money. Then came a big rain storm that weekend. My roof and ceiling leaked so much worst than before, I was so shocked. Words do not explain like pictures do. I called Dan, he said he is sorry and he will fix it. Couple days after, he sent someone to fix it. Supposedly he did but said not to repair the damage inside yet. I didn't know why back than but I understand now. He was not confident with the fix. Few days after that another rain storm came down and the same spot leaked again. Areas of skylight but this time the inside underneath the sky light as well. I called Dan, he said he may have misdiagnosed the problem. But he states we have to pay more and fix the entire area. Remember, so far, I paid 3000. According to another roofer, that whole section could have been redone with 4000 plus the cost of the window. Dan said he can not fix it since he is done with it. He wants more money to fix the original problem I hired him for. He also sends subcontractors with different license number and names on the van. I don't think he owns two or more companies. The guy he sent the second time didn't even know Dan's name when I asked. I took pictures of everything including the different van with different names of the contractor. I am in the process of getting another roofer and having to repair what his guys did. I kept all the records of our text conversations, before and after photos, and paperworks. I believe I will pursue this lawfully. I am doing this to protect the next customers from going through what I have been through. He told me that I am being difficult. He probably expected a petite, quiet, woman like me to just be intimidated and give up. I am not going to do that. Look at what happend here. Photos do tell a thousand words. Please think before hiring people. Make sure you check yo make sure the work was done well before paying. I have many more pictures but I will save them for later. Yes we can make mistakes but if it is a mistake, you should fix the mistake and not think of a way to make more money. Less

Everyone knows the joy of buying their first home and with that joy comes the decorating and home improvements. Well, I'm sad to say that we have had a horrible experience that has now led us to the lawyer. My husband and I were so excited to start our backyard project that included new cement and pavers around our inground pool and backyard. We met with Dan the owner's son of Cannizzo Construction. They came to our home to price everything out, gave us a price and we gave them a deposit. All new outdoor projects are exciting because you can't wait for the finished product. However, during the first few days of work the workers put a tear in our pool lining while breaking up the cement around the pool and supervisor/owner lies that he didn't notice till last minute. After contacting Dan, the son and explaining to him what had happened they refused to take responsibility for the damage. They said we were lying, and their men did not do it because the lining was installed incorrectly!! We had them stop working on the project and contacted a lawyer. They asked if we could pay half of the damage. Why should we?? Meanwhile, the father (owner of the company) took it upon himself to come to our home and pick up all the pavers and supplies without even contacting us. There was no decency of a notification. We chased him off our property for trespassing. They will extort money! In addition, they want more money because the cement was "too thick" and need more time to break it. Now we are out money, first summer waster, lawyer expenses and a broken up backyard!!! I KNOW this company is horrible and would never recommend them to anyone. They are rude, disrespectful business owners who are money hungry people. I want every eligible future consumer to know that CANNIZZO CONSTRUCTION LLC is a dishonest and horrible company that does not care about customer service or fairness.
