Great food at a great price
My favourite place. Friendly people, the food is always delicious. I’m always amazed with the respect they have for customers. I love this place.
What a gem in North London! Amazing food, kind people, reasonable prices. Can't recommend it enough and will definitely come here again!
Great service, never had Ethiopian food before but everything was delicious and the staff were very friendly. Would come again!
"Dining at 'wolkite restaurant is a treat for all senses. From delectable dishes to attentive service and enchanting ambiance, every visit is a delight."
Amazingly tasty Ethiopian food&coffee!! Highly recommend the SHRO and honey wine^^ The owner is very kind and friendly))
Delicious as always. Love the food here! Really good value meal out with great service. And the inside is newly decorated and looking really stylish it has a lovely atmosphere. Thank you ❤️
Great place, great food, great service. Price is really good too, highly recommend you give this place a try ! :)
Been here twice already and everyone I bring loves the food, service and atmosphere. We're so lucky to have Wolkite as a local restaurant! The vegetarian platter has an incredible amount of variety with over 10 different 'dishes' to try and with plenty of injera. You will be full sharing just that! Thank you Wolkite.
Ordered the Mahberawi for 2 and the portions were huge! The food tasted amazing and I'd definitely recommend ordering the set menu. Yeshak was very friendly and welcoming to us. This is a nice, cozy restaurant that's tucked away in a quiet residential setting. 100% recommended, especially if you're a fan of Ethiopian Jazz music!
Delicious food, really friendly people.
Really delicious food and great value
A local restaurant that is worth the detour. The service is personal and for me, some of the best Ethiopian food you will find in London. Gluten free injera bread is also available

Comida muy buena aunque un poco picante. Lo mejor la atencion, nostrataron como en casa y hasta nos invitaron a un té después de comer
Absolutely loved this place! The food was fab and the service was lovely. Would definitely eat here again
Great food
A local restaurant that is worth visiting. I would happily eat here again. Good for groups. The vegetarian sharing dish is delicious, the stew meat sharing dish was good.
Delicious food with friendly staff
Went for a dinner with friend. It was my first time trying Ethiopian food….the sweet wine was amazing!!!

Amazing food- enjoyed every part of the platter- and amazing service! Definitely will get the honey wine again!
Delicious food, and even better service. The honey wine was delish 😋
Wolkite Restaurant was a delightful experience. From the warm welcome to the delicious Ethiopian cuisine, every moment was exceptional. The attention to detail and outstanding service truly impressed me. I can't wait to return to Wolkite for another memorable meal. It has become a new favorite for me!

I decided to visit last-minute for a quick meal while in the area. The food was quite nice, very unique sour bread with well-marinated meat. First time trying Ethiopian food and it was absolutely delicious
Best Ethiopian food I’ve ever had, a simple place but very accommodating and well made fare - try the lamb stew and ribs over haricots verts and dahl on black sour pancakes - amazing
Here are two well-kept secrets for you: Ethiopian cuisine is one of the best in the world, and Wolkite is one of the best places where to enjoy it fully. Amazing food, simple and lovely atmosphere, very kind people.
Absolutely delightful Ethiopian restaurant, the services, food and ethiopian coffee. You have to experience authentic traditional food.
Ordered food on Deliveroo. This was really tasty 10/10. Thank you for great tasting food cooked to perfection. Amazing. All other food I have ordered on deliveroo has been very disappointing but this was different. Now I will have to eat in with my family. Thanks again.

The owner is very friendly and always has a smile on him. You can say we've become regulars now. My advice is to get some honey wine and a sharer plate to try a bit of everything. You really feel at home. 10/10
They were amazingly nice. I forgot my wallet there and they saved It for me. We have been in London for two days and both days we came here. The lamb ribs are tooooo good. 100% recommendable

I had a wonderful evening here! The lady took care of my allergy so well and she recommended the delicious fish dish. She’s super thoughtful and lovely! Their mango juice is really good hahaha my friend ordered two of it!
The food was really good, best eaten right away as it is served. The staff is really nice and really caring about food sensitivity and allergies. Would definitely go again
The best Ethiopian dishes in London and nice serving
Horrible tasteless and was cold when they served it! We could not even can eat it waste of money !!! Dont recommend it at all!
I absolutely love this restaurant, every time I come with different friends, and they have all been blown away by it. I highly recommend the set meals, but remember they are quite big so don't order too much. The lamb ribs are also to die for. The people are super friendly at the restaurant and give excellent service. I like their Ethiopian tea at the end of the meal too.
Delicious food, reasonably priced. Friendly service. Decor is basic.
Wolkite is just so, so good. Their food is without fail fresh, tasty, and beautiful. Don't be deterred by their location in the lee of the stadium: this is a legit delicious bite of food and well worth your time!

Updated review 26.02.2022. One star because of the extremely rude customer service. I came to eat here second time since my first visit a week earlier was very pleasant. This time the food was good again but the customer service was outrageously rude. When I asked for a side dish, I was told that I am stressing them out, even if I patiently waited my turn while they were talking in phone. Next when I asked more water, I was told that I can't ask water all the time. It is quite unbelievably outrageous if a customer cannot ask more water in the restaurant, or that customer is blamed for asking water. Review 19.02.2022: Four stars. My first visit. The food was delicious, well cooked and fresh. The customer service was friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant is very cozy. My only objection is that the portions of stews in the vegan combination dish are very very small, and will leave you hungry even if it should be a main dish and priced accordingly. Less

You might not guess it from the shopping centre in which it sits, but this place is fantastic. Brilliant food at amazing value, with friendly and helpful staff to boot. Absolute winner.

Neither of us had tried Ethiopian cuisine before, and this felt very authentic - we enjoyed not being given cutlery and were keen to eat with our hands and this felt like a really enjoyable part of the experience. Our dishes all came in a big plate for sharing, and we especially enjoyed the little vegetable sides. The meat dishes were a little sweet for our tastes and could have done with a touch more spice, but it was good to try something new! We got the recommended vegetarian set for 2ppl plus an additional (gluten free) teff flour injera to try (the darker flatbread). The portion was more than enough for 2 to share with a selection of 8-10 different dishes with 2 large injera. The food was really tasty, spicy and aromatic. (spicy flavours, this option wasn't spicy hot) As it was a take away, whilst waiting for delivery, we got a bit 'into the experience' and watched a video on how to plate up and eat injera. I would recommend based on both taste and variety, I'm not sure on price as my first time, although other reviews say it is reasonable for the food and service. I'll be excited to try this restaurant again. Available on both uber eats and deliveroo. The delivery on Saturday night was around 50min. Arrived hot. June2021 Less

I'd eaten delicious Ethiopian food in Uganda and Ethiopia. First time I'd tried it in London. Had the vegetarian set menu and the tilapia. There were seven or eight vegetable dishes to savour - spicy but not chilli hot. The tilapia had a nice chilli kick to it. Will definitely be back. (Restaurant is set back from the road so very easy to drive past it - twice in my case.)
Amazing food and friendly service. Will definitely order again!
It was fantastic services with sweet food
Lovely family business, a gem in the area! I live in the neighborhood and have been coming to Wolkite for a few years now. The delicious food and natural friendlyness I've always found here made it my absolute favourite restaurant in London! You can't go wrong with Goden Tibs, but plenty of delicious vegan options too! I strongly recommend the Honey wine and the traditional coffee!
Delicious food and very friendly staff. Left with a full stomach and the recipe for making my own injera! Wonderfully extensive menu, too

Had the vegetarian set, what an amazing experience!
I've had Ethiopian food in several countries INCLUDING Ethiopia itself, and this place definitely ranks in my top 3. Definitely top in London.
Wolkite has become our local favorite! When we had our first meal there, beginners to eating Ethiopian food, we were given great advice by the waiter on what food to try. Since then, we’ve enjoyed dining at Wolkite numerous times and always book a table when we have visiting guests!
Absolument excellent!!
Very friendly, tasty

Excellent flavoursome food, we had the mixed set menu with ribs as the accompaniment (recommended by the waiter). Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, I will be going back.
So delicious!very huge portion and tasty food. We been in a busy evening and the service was not Great. I just want to recommend to improve a bit ..but otherwise was amazing! Really recommend!

Staff are friendly and happy to explain the menu for first timers. The food is what makes this place special. The flavours are strong and unique, every dish caressing the taste buds. I shared a meat tasting platter for two and it was stunning. No other word necessary. Only reason one might be cautious is if hot food or rare mince is a problem. Even then, the server tells you that he's happy to change if the food is not to your taste. It was to my taste and the quantity was far more than enough. You won't need to eat again for a while. A word too about the malty Ethiopian beer - complements the food perfectly. In sum? Delicious food. I will be back. Less
First time trying this food in a restaurant. and I can tell you it taste authentic and homemade. Amazing food great cosy restaurant. very reasonable. lovely portions. can’t wait to go back again 😊
Very nice food. Feels authentic. Home cooking vibe. Good prices vs. what you get. Ok beer. A bit slow service.
Food was delicious! Had the vegetarian meal for two. Took a little while for the the food to come out, but the food itself made up for that.
Been eating here regularly since 2015. Delicious food, excellent vegan/vegetarian options. Isaac is wonderful, always ready to recommend something if you can't decide. Best restaurant in London imo.
Food is excellent - full of flavour and great to share
Maybe it was too busy, but by far the worst Ethiopian meal I've had.. They said the meat was supposed to be burnt and overcooked. Never again.
So delicious! Great waiter/host with good advice on what to order (1 x vegetarian). Lots of options including veg. Platters are large and filling 😋. Very tasty food!!!! Will defo be back

Isaac is a kind and generous host and his sister makes food worth flying internationally for, their Berbere is divine, their popcorn coffee brings shame to local coffee shops and the vast selection of vegan options mean you’ll leave in a happy coma of satisfaction, just be sure to book a table in advance, there’s rarely a free seat in the house any time of day, for obvious reasons! If you visit London and don’t eat at Wolkite you’ll never understand what you’ve missed out on. Less
It's nice, not out of the world. Ribs are great though
This is such a great place - the owner cares so much about his customers! The food is delicious - so fresh - lovely tej, and gluten free injera on request too. Can’t wait to return!
Great to see Wolkite's doors open again! This is my favorite Ethiopian restaurant in London. (I've probably been to 8 or 10.) The vegetarian plate is perfect for two -- pretty much every dish on it is delicious. I recommend the dark teff flour, though some people prefer the lighter bread. The owner couldn't be nicer.
Wow, amazing. Inspired me to try out more Ethiopian food. So so good with a great service and a friendly cosy vibe.
Visited back in January. This is hands down some of the best, if not the best food I've ever eaten of any variety. I've been to other Ethiopian restaurants and this blows them out of the water. 10/10 food (the big sharing platter is fantastic *chefs kiss*) and some great Ethiopian beers. Went there a couple of times now and will definitely go again.
It's too good, delicious. Just like I ate there in Addis Ababa and Bahir Dar, in Ethiopia.
Our first time trying Ethiopian food and couldn't have had a better experience. The owner was helpful and attentive. The food looked lovely and tasted even better. We were given advice on what to order and were grateful we listened (we had the vegetarian platter for 2). A cosy environment to spend time - time you will need because the portions are large! Highly recommended.
Best Ethiopian Restaurant. Amazing food and great friendly service.
This place is amazing
Great atmosphere
First time I had this type of cuisine and it was definitely an experience!
Amazing Ethiopian food! great service, nice atmosphere. Definitely recommend and hope to visit again next time.

Amazing food, great service, makes this a must do when in London. A locals spot where we were probably the only tourists.
Amazing place with amazing Ethiopian food and very good customer service! You have to try it!
I loved the place!! Great Ethiopian food .
The best ethiopian food we ever ate. The restaurant itself is run by a lovely couple who are very sympathetic and nice people. Would go again anytime.
Great food variety with meat and several vegetarian options. Service was efficient. The proprietor was nice and helpful. The dry lamb dish with sauce on the side was outstanding.
My wife and I were visiting London for a few days and stopped by here to get some Ethiopian food. The food was amazingly delicious and the service was out of this world. Definitely recommend it and will be coming back.
Wolkite is one of my favorite restaurants in London! Excellent vegetarian and vegan options along with helpful staff and delicious food. I love to bring people here when they visit because this style of meal is great to share with friends and family. The owner is always around to help you choose the right dishes!
Great Ethiopian food only that not much waiter/res
Wonderful service and Ethiopian food that I had in London.
Delicious Ethiopian food! Staff were pleasant and the portions were good sizes - managed our party of 15 very well with various platters. Honey wine was lovely. Shame it's so tucked away from the high street!
Fantastic food, friendly atmosphere, and catered for my vegan needs. Definitely recommend and hope to visit again next time we're in London.
Lovely, welcoming host, wonderful food and atmosphere
Great Ethiopian food at good prices despite proximity to the Arsenal Stadium.

Went here before a match, definitely book to get a table if it’s game game as everyone there was going to the game. Service was super fast, with a homely smile and despite being busy and only having one person on the floor the young lady took time to explain parts of the menu to us and make suggestions. The food was a decent portions with enough endurance injera (flatbread) to go around. We got two dishes, the lamb and beef curry on a share platter of injera and it was delicious, full of flavour, well cooked meat and the right level of spice. If your heading to the Emirates for a game or just happen to be in the area - definitely a place worth trying, I’ll be back here again. Less
good traditional East(horn)of Africa food, good portion, decent price and a cosy place to have a chat but no original "teff"
Simply delicious.
A great Ethiopian restaurant! We got the set meal for three, and it was plenty of food. I’ve had Ethiopian food several times before, even home cooked, and this food was just as authentic and flavorful as any Ethiopian meal I’ve had before. Spicy as well. The service was WONDERFUL. Would definitely come back!
Nice place throughout friendly
Great Ethiopian food!
Delicious authentic Ethiopian food with wonderful friendly service...couldn't recommend more!
Fantastic all round
Excellent food, got to taste authentic Ethiopian food and is quite similar to Indian food so that was a bonus.Already been there 4 times and tried many dishes all are wonderful and different.Lots of vegetarian options as well and the owner/host is really nice and helpful.
This is one of my favourite restaurants. The food is excellent (try the sharing platter) and the host is so welcoming. I always enjoy taking my friends here, and I recommend trying the mead (honey beer) and traditional coffee.
Amazing food
Well worth the trip! Highly recommend. Delicious food great service. Something different
Hands down the best Ethiopian restaurant in London
The best place to have an organic food.
Tasty and interesting food and very friendly staff!
Fantastic variety and quantity of tasty food, both vegetarian and meat. Reasonably priced.
An amazing place to try out Ethiopian cuisine. Serves vegetarian too. Staff is very courteous and warm. Keep going back. Must try.
Amazing Ethiopian food!! Definitely recommend it!!
Best Ethiopian food in London. Thank you so much !
Came across this restaurant very randomly recently. I must say it is fantastic and very authentic. The waiters were very helpful and kind. The portions are big, the food tasty and the prices really reasonable. Will definitely be returning! :)
Beautiful food
Delicious and authentic Ethiopian food! Very friendly staff and relaxing ambiance.
Outside I already smelled the spices. Amazing and weird dough. Great novelty factor.
Very nice restaurant and delicious food.
A delightful experience with very interesting and tasty food and friendly helpful service.
Good Ethiopian food
Nicest food in London. Don't believe me? Try it.
Wonderful food and customer service. I’ve had underwhelming experiences with African food before, but I’m glad I decided to try Ethiopian and that I found this great place to do so.
My fiancé and I had a wonderful meal last week!!Lovely hospitality and beautiful flavours! We will be back next week !
By far the best Ethiopian food I’ve had in London!!
Gastfreundliches Lokal. Vorzügliches Essen.
Hidden gem. Lovely people, super tasty food, great value, proper Ethiopian beer. I'd go back in a shot.
Family business restaurant manned by super friendly owners. One of the best ethnic restaurants we found in N1, whilst living in and exploring the neighborhood for 2 years.
Vegi platter for two beyond words 👌👌👌. Great value, great flavour, great Ethiopian beer. Absolute hidden gem 💎
That veggie platter tho
I am now hooked on this cuisine as there were a large variety of vegan delicacies to choose from. I love it.
Delicious veggie set menu. Everything was vegan, so everyone at the table could dig in and enjoy. A comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Very affordable!
Superb Ethiopian food.
Great host, good food
Friendly and authentic
great authentic food, friendly staff, would recommend
Reservations are highly appreciated as the excellent service attracts east Africans and others to this small cosy restaurant named after an indigenous Ethiopian tribe, best known for it's simple fried mince meat, ( no other ingredients) what makes it so excellent, pop in to find out.
The platter for two was great. Friendly manager too.
Good homely, family restaurant with good food.
Super Essen, wahnsinnig freundlich und sympathisch. Ein befreundeter Äthiopier, der in London lebt, sagte uns, dass das Wolkite das beste äthiopische Restaurant in London ist... unterschreibe ich sofort. Jederzeit wieder! Empfehle vor allem die gemischte Platte!!!
Ethiopian food quite nice and delicious. Service bit slow but the place was busy. The injera was fresh and sour as expected. Kifo, tibs, dorwot, all served authentically and delicious
Good food, helpful recommendations, good set menu, and the coffee was fun!
In love with this place!
Delicious Ethiopian food! This is the first time I've tried Ethiopian food and it was absolutely delicous! The owners are lovely and service is great. Will certainly be back.
Lovely food, very friendly
Been walking past this lovely restaurants for years and today I went over to buy some of that good soul food for the family. Great food and great service. Definitely will be going back.
This place used to have good food at the beginning,no consistency whatsoever. food not as good as before especially for us/ ethiopian because we know how it's supposed to be cooked.I stopped going there after the food getting so bland!
Cheap and diverse food, friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere.
Great authentic African food
Lovely food and staff. Recommended !!!
It's nice food and good place to be
Absolutely bland food and the customer service was appauling! Thought i’d give it a go seeing as the google reviews are good! I can’t believe who is tasting and approving these bland dishes.
Very authentic Ethiopian food which is absolutely delicious! I was really impressed by this place, it's a very different dining experience. Very reasonably priced too
It's nice ittle place, stationed not too far from the Emirates football stadium. Service is good and the food is ok, nothing to get too excited about. But the service is good and general is good experience.
Amazing place, food and people
Amazing food and even more amazing service. Highly recommend it!
Best Ethiopian restaurant in London. Yetsom Beyaynetu (Ethiopian combination platter), Dulet (Beef), Doro wot (Chicken)
Had a great experience at this restaurant. I have never tasted Ethiopian food before but I tell you this I will be trying it again because of this place the food was 10/10 the staff was 10/10 and the whole experience was 10/10
Great traditional ethiopian food. Excellent service, prices and interesting setting. 5* for sure.
10/10 experience. Lovely staff, lovely food and a cosy atmosphere what more can you ask for!
Very good food, friendly service
We were recommended the restaurant, and it didn't disappoint. Great food, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. If you have never tried Ethiopian food, come here and give it a go, I am sure you will not be disappointed.
Food here is delicious! Injera dish is made fresh so be prepared to wait. Advice: book in advance
I have always enjoyed the meals and the environment, but the wait sometimes can be a bit annoying but in nutshell it’s Fantastic!! Thumbs up
Delicious food followed recommendation from the manager perfect
Absolutely delicious and very friendly staff. Great evening out with friends. Highly recommend.
Great food and amazing service, one of the better Ethiopian restaurants in London! We had the ribs and dry fried lamb with the vegetarian selection and it was very good. I would recommend it as a place to sample Ethiopian food.
Don't judge a book by its front cover and don't add salt to your ribs

I had Ethiopian food before, but this one was absolutely on a different level. No wonder why this restaurant is one of the highest rated in Trip Advisor. It's just too good and extremely convenient too.

Delicious food, friendly service, great flavours and great value.
Lovely simple restaurant serving great tasty food with attentive and helpful service. The staff were very helpful and accommodating of our requests for slight changes. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. Chairs very very comfy too. Can't recommend more!
Have kitfo only. That's what they are famous for..
Good food, lovely service
good quality of products!
Authentic Ethiopian food! Highly recommend!
Exellent exotic freshly made and tasty food
Can’t beat Netflix and chilling and these guys do it real goooood XD
Good service, good food. Try the tej honey wine which is more like a honey ale. Also try awaize tibs ( lamb stew) nice and spicy. I recommend the veggie combination dish to try everything.
Delish, filing, spicy, flaivorfool, in the Ambien atmosphere. Will visit them again & again.
The Wolkite was an absolute joy - friendly and informative service and the food was so fresh and tasty - exactly as described on the menu with each flavour recognisable. A must for anyone who needs something different and healthy
Tasty food, little wait, ethiopian beer
Good authentic Ethiopian food served at deathly slow pace.
Best food in town
It amazing food and service I really enjoyed this restaurant
Excellent food. Wonderful atmosphere. In a quiet corner a stone's throw from the Arsenal Stadium. The staff was very nice and attentive . They even answered all of our questions about the food. They're even working on adding soy items to the menu to accommodate the vegan people who eat there. When you do here I highly suggest you get the honey wine.
Service was a little late.
Nice and chilled atmosphere with good food.
Great value and delicious, Meta beer is worth a try
Bem bacana, comida ambiente bem típico, muito barato, vale a pena visitar para conhecer é uma experiência bem diferente. Cool, food very typical, very cheap, worth visiting to know is a very different experience.
Lovely owners, attentive service and fantastic food — best injera in North London!
One of the best Ethiopian restaurants
We got the yetsom beyaynetu (vegetarian combination) and the one chicken dish and it was amazing. The food it really affordable (9£ per dish) and they give you a ton of food. The staff are super sweet and you could tell they care about their customers.
Excellent. Unique flavours. Left full and happy! Definitely coming back!

Lovely staff and great food. Fairly priced. It’s not super fancy but feels very homely. Try the Tej!
Ethiopian food is one of my favourite cuisines and this is by far my fav place to go. It looks unassuming but the food and staff are both lovely.
Great night with nice hospitality. Amaizing food near Arsenal stadium.
Excellent food and brilliant staff.

Great food. I was pleasantly surprised with the no. of vegetarian options they had! Lip smacking! And very decently priced. Will definitely recommend!
Very good food. Would eat again
Excellent food, even more excellent service. Best Ethiopian restaurant I've been to in London.
My first experience of Ethiopian food and I loved it. Helpful service, amazing food and a nice place to be. Try the Ethiopian honey wine, delicious and deceptively alcoholic!

Wonderful experience and felt like I was back in Addis
A wonderful place - delicious food, home made honey wine, really friendly staff who helped me decide what to order from a menu where everything looks delicious - even brought me extra injera and then a small pot of spiced tea while I read my book afterwards. All up only £12 for the lot. I'll be back!
Spicy food is one of my top things to eat. If you eat here be traditional and use your hands, it's worth it! I just love the bread the foods are served on. Chicken is my go to here.
Food was good but not more...
Very friendly place, lots of families and groups of friends. Amazing food, served on large platters with flat bread. We ate with our hands using the bread/pancake, although I would expect that cutlery is available on demand.
It may not look like much but this is a really awesome little restaurant. The food is amazing & good value for money and the staff are always happy to suggest dishes.

Great for early stage dating - you know you are ready to step up the relationship when you are comfortable eating with your hands and bare with seeing the other person eat ribs. In winter, the warm decor and lighting inside makes it a great place to go to on a weekday evening (not as crowded as weekends). In summer, fight for the two tables outside, in the shade overlooking a small park. For my boyfriend (big big big foodie) and I this is the place to go for a comfy night out - and we both recommend it to whoever visits London. I must confess we are hooked on the 2 menu items we tried first and order the same thing every time we go - lamb ribs and spicy lamb stew (I think they are items 12 and 17 on the , but don't quote me). However, they have plenty of beef, chicken, vegetarian options - maybe a bit too many which makes decision making hard. Staff is amazingly warm and friendly - so much that you wish they were your neighbors. Enjoy! Less

Es war eines der Top 5 Mahlzeiten die ich in meinen Leben hatte! Vielleicht die Beste, denn ich kann es einfach nicht vergessen. Thanks so much for boss(? I guess) and stuff there, very very friendly and kind. A dish we ordered was a little bit sour for my friend and I, coz we haven't eat sour food before. However goden tibea is amazing.
very good
Great food at great prices
Super nice atmosphere

We said we like spicy dishes, and they brought out a selection of spices and even packaged up some spices to take home! The prices are very reasonable and there's no worry about going hungry. The decor is standard Ethiopian restaurant, which is plain with some Ethiopian artwork, with Ethiopian music playing in the background. Not very romantic or high-end, but very enjoyable and fun and yummy. Less
Amazing food and super friendly service. Always a pleasure going back.
Love the foods
Great place for vegan food! And really friendly service :)
really nice food and friendly atmosphere
Lovely stuff!
The owner was very helpful in suggesting vegetarian options. Food took a little while but not too long. We had about 10 different small dishes on the same plate. They were varied in ingredients and taste and of a very high standard. Recommended.
Masses of food, tasty, spicy, fresh. So helpful and friendly too. Go try it!
Phenomenal food
really authentic abesha wot. when we were there we were the only non-ethiopians which is always a good sign.
Great and traditional experience with authentic food at a very low price. The waiters are very kind and willing to help with the menu. Highly recommended!!
Best Injera I've ever had. Nom.
Great Ethiopian food and friendly host. They always have space!
Nice environment, good food, excellent service!
Great food for great price
A very nice food experience.
It's the best Ethiopian restaurant it feels like a cosy home . Lovely customer service I recommend for everyone. Keep up the good work
Excellent customer service , yummy food , good environment 👍🏾
Great food, great staff! Owner is the nicest man you will ever meet
You must try it at least once. Cheaper than other Ethiopian restaurants. Big portions. Delicious and fresh ingredients. No need to know what's on the menu. Tell the owner what you like and he'll advise you properly. He cares about his guests. Trust me. No service charge. Very good Ethiopian beer too. I'd eat there everywhere if I could.
Great place! Food was amazing and the staff super helpful and friendly!! Will defiantly be going again Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because it was pretty cold in there.
i want to sent many photo for google map because so many people can travel based on photo seeing from the google map and it enables to know historical place and other wonder sites.
Amazing food. Try the honey wine
Simply the best Ethiopian food, I won't give them less that 5 stars, but they definitely need to employ at least 2 more waitresses during busy times. The wait time is ridiculous.
We had the sharing platter of mixed meat and various sauces, which was delicious; however the service was really slow and we waited for more than 40 minutes for the food to come; only the owner was serving of more than 5 tables and 20 people in the restaurant. Dined here for my 22nd birthday and got amazing food and even better service. Thank you Wolkite Kitfo!
Simply great experience overall! Must try the Ethiopian coffee where the coffee beans are freshly roasted and ground to make you that clay pot of coffee. Best Ethiopian Food in London at the moment.. their Gomen, Beyenetu (Veg platter) and shiro are very flavoursome and fresh and usually they have teff injera but always call to check first. Buna ceremony is on point! Service is Ok, decore not my thing but part of the character. I always recommend this spot as the food never disappoints.
Lovely food and drinks, lovely service. Very relaxing.

Don't get discouraged by the exterior, interior is nicely decorated with depictions from Ethiopian culture. We were quickly seated, although the restaurant was quite packed at the time. The staff was very nice and attentive. I asked about their special honey wine - Tej and the server was nice enough to bring me a little glass to sample it. The food was delicious - we had both meat (lamb) dish and a vegetarian dish, both served with an injera (Ethiopian "flatbread"). The portions were actually quite large and we were not able to eat it all, so the staff was nice enough to ask us if we wanted the rest of our food packed to go. All in all we paid little over 20 pounds for two drinks and two dishes, which is quite a bargain for London. We were very satisfied - whether you already tried Ethiopian or you want to try it for the first time, this is definitely the place to do so. Less
One of the best Ethiopian restaurants in London!
Fantastic value for money, Really good vegetarian options available.
Excellent people, excellent food, you feel like home.
Unbelievable food, particularly the kitfo and the chickpea curry. Very friendly service as well. One of my absolute favourite restaurants in London. Absolute hidden gem.
We had to wait a very long time, I mean very long...long...long...long time. Finally the food came and it was the most delicious food. However because of the long wait we experianced, we all said we will never go back until they get more stuff to help out in the kitchen.
Interesting food - authentic Ethiopian Has trial platter for 22 pounds
Really well priced, delicious food.
Amazing ethiopian food here !!! I would definetly recommend it for everyone.

I couldn't fault this restaurant. It is clear the chef cares a lot about freshness, quality and flavour. The food is fantastic and I would definitely recommend the honey wine.
Went here for the first time. Absolutely loved it. Beautiful flavours, nice atmosphere and run by a very very nice man who didn't give me a hard time when I asked for a fork. Haha. Highly recommended. Cheap and cheerful!!! Go!
Incredibly delicious East African food, probably one of the best in the uk .
Initial thought was "why has my friend bought me here" but the food was amazing and the owner was a really lovely guy. Can't recommend this place enough

Highlights were the Tej (honey wine), the beef and vegetarian main course dishes and the coffee. Restaurant style is basic so you don't go for the plush surroundings. The norm is to eat with hands but the restaurant has cutlery if you don't feel comfortable with this. Before coming to the restaurant, I wondered why it was so highly rated given its location but now I know why. I would 100% recommend this to friends and will definitely go again myself. Less
OK food. I went for my birthday and they charged to much money (£7.00) for each tiny portions of food (stew) with masses of injera (bread). They kept bringing more bread. They charged us £40 for mostly bread. Tiny portions of stew and 4 beers. Food not that great. I can't believe the high reviews. They must have some kind of magical charm. And it wasn't the personality of the staff, especially the man (may be the owner). Though the waitress is lovely. I will never go here again or reccomend it to anyone. I reckon they play on the lack of knowledge (concerning portions and ingredient) of those who are not familiar with Ethiopian cuisine. A mostly disappointing experience. The only positive for me was the company I was with. Less
As a Falasha I found the whole experience Excellent.
Great food great service
Such a relaxing environment with a excellent service. The food is just so exoticlly delicious, it's like having my tastebuds on a disco dance floor.
Good value for a great meal
The food is great. Service is the worst ever. The owner does not seem to understand that service is as important as food. It's mostly him alone. People wait for a long time to be served. I'm shocked that it is as busy. If only he employs a couple of well trained waitresses. It will be the best restaurant
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant generally has a wonderful atmosphere but most of all, the food is superb. I have been to another Ethiopian restaurant in Camberwell Green but this is the best. The food is delicious and the prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.
Best Ethiopian restaurant ever
Excellent food and customer services. I would 100% recommend this place for anybody who wants to try Ethiopian food.

Best Ethiopian food I've had. Visited with a friend just back from 3 weeks there and she was happy too. Great service

Amazing value traditional ethiopian food, very friendly service. Good for a cheap meal, nothing fancy.
Tasty Ethiopian cuisine. You should definitely give it a try. I recommend beef dishes.

Most definitely the best Ethiopian restaurant in all of London, and probably the whole of the UK. The quality of the service is equivalent to the food. I highly recommend you try the "Fintafinto", a unique gurage dish which is only served in Wolkite Kitfo. From personal experience, once you taste what Wolkite Kitfo has to offer, you will never go anywhere else!
Great food, nice service. Really wonderful!!!
Best Ethiopian food in London. Lovely staff, quick service, definitely recommend.

Wolkite Kitfo is a really fabulous Ethiopian restaurant. Excellent food at a great price. I've been a lot of times with friends and especially like to go to Wolkite Kitfo when I have friends or relatives visiting from out of London. The owner is very attentive and is happy to make recommendations if you haven't eaten Ethiopian before. I'd strongly recommend it.
Lovely evening. First time eating Ethiopian cuisine so it was certainly an experience. Food was fantastic. The bottle of Syrah was delicious. Service was laid back but the gent was lovely. Would highly recommend.
Excellent food and very friendly service. Everything for such a great price!
Amazing food don't be put off by its exterior. Situated very close to Arsenals ground. Very good choice for veggies to. Excellent value and really tasty fresh food and great staff and service.
Really great food, friendly relaxed atmosphere, lovely service. Been 3 times now, always a treat, thanks
Excellent food, very unique!
This is a great place to get authentic Ethiopian food in London. You walk in and you might as well be in a little shop in Ethiopia with the decoration and all, it's also a very good sign that about 80% of the patrons were Ethiopian, says a lot I think. Amazing flavours, friendly staff and it's also well priced: £30-£40 for two people,
Great food, great atmosphere, helpful staff. Highly recommended!

Had a great evening at Wolkite Kitfo. Delicious authentic Ethiopian food served hot, fresh and tasty with spicy meat and wholesome vegetarian options. Highly recommended.
One of those places were you get incredible food for less money. I highly recommend this place because of its great atmosphere and amazing food. From all Ethiopian/ Eritrean places I have been in London, this is certainly my favourite. Musts have are Kitfo, Tibs and Kikil.
Superb place! Food is awesome and staff were super friendly! Have told many friends about this place and we'll be heading back there soon.
Wolkite was absolutely delicious! Yesak was a fabulous host and helped us pick delicious menu items and even sent out samples of dishes for us to try new things we didn't order (which we will definitely order next time!). Everything was authentic and tasted as if we were in Ethiopia. A great value dinner with even better service. We will certainly be back!

Absolutely DELICIOUS!!!! Been Going there at least 1-2 times a week for more than 2 years now and it's great, can't go a week without it.
