Dulles Life Smiles was a wonderful experience. We recently moved to the area and have been looking for a new dentist. I've tried 2 other locations in the area, but didn't feel they were positive experiences. After visiting and working with the team (specifically Bianca and Amy), I left feeling good about my visit. The small touches most businesses overlook or do not spend time on spoke volumes about the type of environment they are trying to create, all the way down to having my personalized name on a tv in my area. Dr. Gino was also very receptive to my comments, treated me with a unique approach based on my treatment plan and examination, and even completed some additional treatments I needed same day. This was my initial visit to Dulles Life Smiles and I will say it’s the best dental appointment I’ve had in my 57 years. I was able to share with Dr. Gino my horrible experience with a dental appointment 10 years ago in Richmond VA and why I’ve since avoided going to the dentist. This one visit alone has changed my entire outlook on going to the dentist. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. During my initial visit Dr. Gino reviewed my X-rays and gave a thorough education about future treatment. In addition, I found the visual tour of the mouth very helpful as he explained step by step, with real time photos and X-ray images where I was with my dental health and what his initial treatment plan would be. I left my first appointment feeling very informed and that Dulles Life Smiles cared about me not only as a patient, but as a person. I felt immediately connected to the treatment team. The most relaxing and personable dentist office I've ever been to. I think they are used to people that are afraid of the dentist because of how kind and the explanations they gave me. That said, I'm glad my old dentist went out of network so I could find this practice. This is now my dentist for life (or as long as I live in the area). They offer you bottled water while you wait and you can watch tv while they work on your dental needs. I am 66 years old, all my life I have been afraid to go to the dentist . At this this I find I can not stay away any longer. I have for the past 3 weeks with stood so much pain , this is no way for someone to live my teeth were in bad shap. Nothing you could really see. My lower and upper back teeth. I was unable to eat just soft this and now temperature was starting to be painfull! HELP!! I found the dentist of my dreams.. I walked in LYS who seen I was shaken up helped me right away. Update— we went back today for our 2 yr appt and received the same exceptional care for our child who was recently diagnosed with autism! I would highly recommend to any parents of ASD kids. My 21 month old had her first appt this past Friday and it was an incredible experience. My child is very spirited and busy, she likes to run, play, and is generally very friendly and curious. The whole staff was SO kind to us! They were understanding of her curiosity and allowed her to explore with my supervision and were very supportive to me as well (as i apologized repeatedly LOL). Dr Gino took a look at her teeth and kept his calm as she cried— this was simply the result of her not wanting to let anyone in her mouth— and then gave her a prize at the end. I had my first appointment at Dulles Life Smiles and I was pleasantly surprised of my visit. First getting a tour of the office and hearing the story behind Dr. Gino Love for music and how he gives back to the disabled population was especially touching since I work in that field as well. Additionally I truly appreciated the way I was ask if I was okay throughout the visit and exam. I have always had a fear of dentist in the past but today my fear was minimal. Went there for cleaning and regular dental check up. Dr. Gino was great at answering all questions and making sure he communicated everything. Rest of the staff were friendly. Just one thing, with other dentists, my cleanings were always 100% covered but here they charged me around $56 out of pocket. They said the level of cleaning I needed was more than what the insurance covered. In the past that has never come up with other dentists. Other than that everything was great. Less
