She led a very challenging class while being sure to check in and make adjustments for each person as needed. The classes are small and intimate, which allows me to get personalized instructions. Mayte, does not only focus on exercise. She also places a strong emphasis on nutrition. As a result of her great coaching and encouragement I have lost over 40 pounds. I love my DCX family.💜

Awesome place to get in shape. I have been going there for the last six months and I never thought that working out would be this simple. Kudos to Mayte the owner. She makes the workout fun and takes her time to explain every single one them to the class, so we get the most of each exercise and avoid any injuries. I will see you there!

I started with dcx almost 3 weeks ago I am loving the classes.they are so organized in making sure that every class wether it's legs or arms or core that every muscle gets used I have lost fat along with gain muscle the exercises work. Everybody there has been so supportive of my journey.
I love the gym. It’s 40 minutes & you’ve had an all around workout. You also get individual corrections. It’s a great way to begin your day.

Having never lifted anything heavier than a toddler, I truly appreciate having found this place. I’m older and not in the best of shape but they are great about giving me modifications when I need them while still making it challenging.

I actually found DCX through Classpass and IM OBSESSED! I love how it feels like a community and everyone there is so encouraging and friendly. The classes are only 40 minutes but you will definitely be sore the next day! I will be adding DCX to my Classpass rotation for sure!

I just finished my first week of workouts and it was FANTASTIC. I haven’t worked out in over a year and felt welcomed and accepted by the instructor and other members. I'm 4 weeks into my 6 week challenge and I am down 15 pounds and 3% body fat! I can honestly say I would not have been able to do it without DCXfitness. DCX fitness is great gym with an even better trainer. Coach Daniel is a true professional trainer/coach and it shows at every class. The training and nutrition is clearly laid out, documented and easy to follow. As the six weeks unfold, there are a lot of 'constants' I grew to expect and appreciate: - Daniel (and Sarah) are excellent coaches, or rather: mentors. Even when a class is busy, there is attention to detail: Form, motivation, etc. - Individual attention: If you have any injury or problem area, Daniel will find a modified workout to work around or with that issue, with the goal of accommodating and eventually eliminating that issue. - Daniel will keep tabs on you, in a good way: Weekly check-ins, review of your nutrition tracking, adjustments as needed, etc. - Importantly: Any questions will be answered. It's all very motivating, there is a positive vibe in the room and Daniel / Sarah will make sure you leave with a smile on your face - even when you just pushed yourself to the limit. I saw progress on a weekly basis, got more energy, and got to a point where I was not happy when I missed a workout. The positive reinforcement and the crew holding you accountable are a great combination. It feels personal and customized, because it is. Prior, I was a pretty active person and found a love in running but no matter what I did I could not push myself to live the active lifestyle I once enjoyed. I was depressed and in 2014 all my unhealthy habits came back, including a negative self-image and an eating disorder. I eventually sought the proper outlets for the mental help I needed but I still couldn’t find the energy to find my way to a better me physically. I begin to gain weight and was 40lbs+ to what I was normally. I was tired all the time and was on antidepressants. That was until I found Santa Monica Fit Body Boot Camp in January 2018. This place and the trainers are amazing. They really do push you to become a better person inside and out. They honestly care about your health and will give you tips on how to improve your form. It’s not just the trainers who make this place great but the other members. It really is a community/family working together and encouraging each other through each session. I’m not going to lie, the workouts are not easy, but they aren’t meant to be. But you will get to the point where you like that challenge; you don’t want the workouts to be easy because that means you are not pushing yourself to go above and beyond what your body and mind is capable of. With that being said, the trainers will work at all levels to help you improve. When I first started, I struggled doing 5 pushups on my knees. I know this stuff does not happen overnight and I know I still have a long way to go. However, I am a healthier and happier person because of this place and after 4 years I was finally able to safely get off my antidepressants. Thank you SMFBBC for everything. Less

I love working out in this place. Daniel doesn't allow me to give it up. He constantly check on you and make sure your form is correct to avoid any kind of injury. I've always been too lazy and too cheap to sign up for a gym. After my last birthday, I had a wake-up call. I wasn't satisfied with my image and I knew I needed to do something about it. I was overwhelmed with the number of gyms available in LA, but I knew I didn't want to sign up for LA Fitness or 24-Hour because I knew I needed direction. I was hesitant about signing up for Fit Body Boot Camp, but I saw from the website offers that I could try a week of classes for free, so I really didn't have anything to lose by trying it. I am so, so glad I did! I was intimidated at first. There is a sign in the studio that reads "I'm not bossy, I'm motivational," which truly speaks to Daniel's method of teaching. He isn't bossy, nor is he mean. He truly cares about his students and motivates us to become a better (stronger) version of ourselves. He observes us to measure our progress, and understands what we can handle and where we need to push ourselves. He and Sarah are incredibly positive, and always encourage us throughout the class. They also observe our form throughout our sets to make sure we're doing them correctly, so we don't hurt ourselves and we get the most out of our workout. They are patient in explaining our sets (no matter how many times I get it wrong!). They make sure we stretch after every workout, so we don't hurt the next day, changes up the routines every day, so we never get bored, and they have great playlists to keep you pumped throughout your 6am workout. I feel like the studio has a lot of great students, too. We're all on different places of the fitness spectrum, but it's a fun and positive community of students supporting each other - not judging each other. I never, ever thought that I would enjoy exercising or be the type of person who wakes up at 5, 6, 7am to go to the gym to work out. I even get up at 8am on Saturdays to make sure I get my full body workout class (my favorite of the week!). Even when I walk in there, low on energy, I somehow find myself pushing through every workout and finishing the class, feeling accomplished. I'm so glad I gave SMFBBC a chance because it has completely changed my lifestyle. I feel happier, more energetic, and more confident in my own skin. I never thought exercise could do this for me. What's more, I am no longer obsessed with trying to "lose weight." I went from not being able to do knee push-ups to doing (assisted) pull ups! I've gotten stronger in almost two months, and my fitness goals have changed to something more tangible. Hopefully, one day, I'll be able to join my classmates doing handstands on the walls. I love patronizing small businesses, and Daniel has been running this studio for over a year. The trainers know what they're talking about, and are always available. If you ever go out of town, you can ask to visit a FBBC in another city so you don't miss out on workout days. Here's the weekly schedule: Mondays: Legs Tuesdays: Upper Body Wednesdays: Full Body Circuit (Intensive) Thursdays: Upper Body Fridays: Legs Saturdays: Full Body Every other Sunday: Flexibility and Nutrition Classes There are classes early in the morning and at night, to accommodate all work/school schedules. He advises us to work out 3-4 times a week, and offers flexibility and nutrition classes every other Sunday. If you have any questions, call and leave a message or come by the studio. Daniel and Sarah are very friendly, informative, and approachable. The fees are reasonable, especially when you put it into the perspective that you're investing in your health. This gym is fantastic. It's definitely a great place if you want to change your life. The workouts are only 30 minutes but very effective. They are ideal for our everyday busy schedules. Daniel is a great coach. He customizes you to your fitness level and also teaches you about proper nutrition.
I joined Santa Monica Fit Body Boot Camp 4 months ago and have seen amazing results already. My favorite class in the 6 AM morning workouts with Daniel. He customizes the workout based on your level of fitness, it is not intimidating at all. He pushes you to do your best while educating you about nutrition and healthy eating habits/ recipes. I highly recommend joining!
