Walters Jiu Jitsu is a fantastic gym. If you're just travelling through or looking for a home gym this is a great place! The amount of mat space is out of this world and the technical knowledge among the leadership is top notch. They keep a competitive pace and it is great for pushing yourself further. Nick has the presence of someone who is super skilled in his art and it shows up on the mats too. There are very few schools that offer the amount of opportunities to train as Walters as well. Most places will have times at night, but not throughout the whole day, 6am, 11am, 6:30pm for adults, WOW! Not to mention his wrestling and kids programs, which I didn't check out, but the opportunities for adults is amazing. You don't find that everywhere. All I can say is if you are in the area and you are not at Walters Jiu Jitsu, you're missing out! Less

Nick has an excellent facility and has built a great team. I dropped in for open mat and everyone was welcoming and fun to train with. You will not find another gym this nice anywhere around. Less

I've had the opportunity to drop in and train with the folks at Walters, and it is a great place to train. the people training there are very polite and welcoming. All of the folks I rolled with where super technical which made for great rolls. The gym it self is set up very nicely and very clean. I Highly recommend dropping in there if traveling through or if you live in the area sign up. Less

Highly recommend this place if you are interested in bjj. Great classes and instructors and it is very welcoming to those new to the sport like myself. Sadly I moved to a different state and it’s very hard finding a bjj gym as high of quality as this place. Definitely a hidden gem in the bjj world. Less

Both my sons competed in the tournament on Saturday 20 January 2024 in New Bern, NC. There was an issue with the scoring and subsequent medals but Mr. Walters made it right as my youngest was really upset because of the error. I had never met Mr. Walters before that day or set foot in his dojo, but if cares half as much about his school and students as he did fixing the scoring, ranking, and medal issues for my boys you’re in good hands in his dojo.
