My right leg is longer than my left, and this also contributed to my back pain and balance issues. She explained all of this and stated what changes I could make for better alignment. I had my initial consultation in January of 2024, about two months ago. The NUCCA technique was brought to my attention by a colleague whose family had had great results. After researching through reading articles and studies and watching demonstration videos, it really resonated with me as something that could help reverse upper cervical spine (neck) problems I have been living with for over 25 years. Traditional chiropractic adjustments are too rough for me, but this made so much sense: gently aligning the vertebrae to restore alignment, relieve pressure from the brain stem and spinal cord, and allow the body to heal. I love that this is based on measurements and mathematical calculations. When I started going I was experiencing routing pain levels of between 4-9 several days a week. This included neck pain and migraines. This is down to a majority of days at 0-0.5, with only a couple days a month of actual pain or headaches. I still have another month of monitoring and adjustments in my initial three month treatment and am excited to see how my quality of life continues to improve as my body adjusts and stabilizes. Dr. Read saved my career. For the past eight years I have suffered from seizures that became more frequent and severe. First doctor prescribed me a years’ worth of 800 milligram Ibuprofen. I was diagnosed with Psychogenic Non-Epileptic Seizures. The good news was the diagnoses was not life threatening and the bad news is there is nothing they could do to provide relief. Met Dr. Read and after my first visit she was able to provide relief. It has taken several months for the adjustments to hold. As of today, it has been more than 90 day since my last seizure.
