FORMAL PATIENT COMPLAINT REGARDING PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT ADANNAYA INYAMATo Whom It May Concern:I am submitting this letter as a formal complaint regarding my experience with Physician Assistant Adannaya Inyama.I found my interaction with Ms. Inyama to be extremely unprofessional and concerning. As a veteran seeking medical care, I expect to be treated with respect, listened to carefully, and given a fair opportunity to explain my medical and mental health concerns. I did not feel that I received that level of care during my encounter with her.I felt that Ms. Inyama did not adequately listen to me or make a meaningful effort to understand what I was trying to communicate. I felt dismissed and misunderstood rather than properly assessed as a patient. This is particularly concerning when dealing with veterans who may have complicated medical histories, mental health concerns, trauma-related issues, and other circumstances that require patience, understanding, and careful communication.I was also concerned by what I perceived as an emotional and unprofessional interaction. From my perspective, the encounter did not remain sufficiently focused on my needs as the patient. A healthcare professional’s personal emotions should not interfere with the ability to objectively listen to and assess a patient.I believe this matter deserves review by supervisory and clinical leadership. I am requesting that the circumstances surrounding my appointment with Adannaya Inyama be investigated and that her conduct and approach to patient care be appropriately evaluated. If the concerns identified through that review are substantiated, I believe appropriate corrective or disciplinary action should be considered, including whether she should remain in a position responsible for evaluating and treating veterans.Veterans deserve providers who listen. Veterans deserve providers who understand that their concerns are real. Veterans deserve to feel safe speaking honestly about their medical and mental health issues without feeling dismissed or judged.Based on my experience, I would caution other veterans to advocate strongly for themselves if they encounter similar treatment. Patients should not be afraid to request another provider when they believe their concerns are not being properly heard or addressed.I am not requesting special treatment. I am requesting professionalism, respect, accurate documentation, objective assessment, and patient-centered care. Please treat this as a formal patient complaint and ensure that it is forwarded to the appropriate supervisory personnel for review. I would also appreciate written confirmation that this complaint has been received and information regarding the appropriate process for addressing my concerns.
