To be honest, WCMS is only average. Likely due to limited competition in the Perth market, the centre has plenty of students, which keeps teachers extremely busy, especially piano instructors. Most piano teachers here are relatively young. Lessons run for only 30 minutes, and tutors often have 5–6 students back-to-back in an afternoon without any breaks. Teachers are stretched thin, which inevitably impacts lesson quality.One major frustration: private one-on-one lessons almost always start 2–3 minutes late but finish strictly on time. You pay for a full session yet receive only around 90% of the allocated teaching time.The monthly subscription payment structure is also problematic. Switching private lessons to monthly membership removes options for partial refunds mid-term. Additionally, the centre replaces one private lesson per month with mixed-age group classes — clearly a tactic to boost their profit margins.

Very friendly atmosphere and teachers are encouraging and take the time at the end of the lesson to let you know how the student is progressing. My grandson is loving his lessons.

My daughter has just started Piano lessons. The instructor Dennis is highly skilled and very patient with her. The admin staff Kathryn and Kiara go above and beyond for you too. Super efficient & friendly. Would recommend tenfold!

Cannot recommend West Coast Music school enough.The unbelievably friendly staff and teachers have all made my young daughter feel comfortable and confident, and exposed her to all sorts of different instruments such as piano, drums, guitar, and singing.Looking forward to seeing her continue to progress into the future with the team, and if you're considering learning music yourself or for your kids, West Coast Music School is the place to do it!

Very bad experience. We enrolled our two daughters and that to one on one class. They charged us monthly at $68 per 30 mins ended up costing $136 per hour. When last month they had a busy schedule and cancel our classes and we expected substitution class i was told that they can choose to cancel or not do classes but that doesn't entitle us for substitution or refund. Also we tried to call they take 2 week return call. Their website says 100% guaranteed of service but what we feel is ripped off.

Kiara has been amazing with my son (6) and he loves attending piano lessons. All the staff are very understanding, and I feel the studio is a safe place for me to also bring my 10yo autistic son.

My son has been taking drum lessons since he was 5 years old and he is now 13. He has blossomed wonderfully with West Coast Music and the opportunity to join a band has improved his musicality. The teachers are patient, professional and make learning engaging. Communication with the school is wonderful, they are open to feedback and strives to improve and find ways to accommodate the students. We are delighted to see the personal growth of our son throughout the years with the School and highly recommend anyone who is curious to start their musical journey with West Coast Music School.
