The people here are super friendly. The gym itself is inviting, fun and well laid out. 1607 takes proper form and athlete education very seriously. Attended this gym while on in VA on military service. I had not done crossfit in about 4 years. These guys were great with instructions, motivation, foam correcting and also all around teaching. I pushed, and challenged and had a great time. Thank you all for having me.

Had a great experience with Lisa at the 6am classes a couple of times this week while on vacation with my family. Very focused on technique and skill work. Highly recommend a drop in.

I joined crossfit looking for a welcoming, but intense fitness community to replace the days of rowing in college. Crossfit 1607 has far exceeded my expectations. Never have I felt more welcomed, supported and encouraged in an athletic environment than I do at this specific Crossfit. The coaches are upbeat, knowledgeable and friendly, never failing to ask how we are feeling or make personal connections. Admittedly, I was hesitant before joining crossfit because some boxes have the reputations for pushing athletes past health and into harm. I also really appreciate occasional junk food and I didn't want to feel constantly judged. The coaches at Crossfit 1607 work with each athlete to find training that works for the individual. If you're a new athlete, there's an option. A seasoned crossfitter, there's another one. If you're like me and have a metal plate in your wrist, they built structures, modify movements and give advice on how to make the WOD more possible and successful. Even as an experienced athlete, I'm a good natured complainer and I often need a push to go to the uncomfortable realm of improvement. The coaches at Crossfit 1607 take my whining into stride and care enough to push me to the limits of which they know I am capable, but never to the point of injury. At the beginning of my crossfit journey (granted, I have only been there a month, so I guess I'm still in the beginning) much to my chagrin, Matt, Garrett and the others even kept me at lower weights until I could master the movement so that I wouldn't hurt myself. After all that I had heard of Crossfit, this was particularly surprising and made me appreciate the community of Crossfit 1607 even more. There is a continuous emphasis on form and warming up properly which of course, are essential for safety in heavy lifting. It is inspiring and empowering to be part of a community where the coaches know their athletes well enough to push them when they need it or support them when they don't. The staff constantly look for different analogies, explanations or movements to explain different exercises, which they cater to each athlete personally. They know I am a former rower and coach, so you'd better believe that I get a lot of analogies related to rowing. With every comparison and correction though, I am always surprised and honored that they took the time to try to relate to me. No one is invisible at Crossfit 1607. Everyone matters. Be they the strongest athlete the Williamsburg area has ever seen, or someone who has been a couch potato until the magical day that they walked into Crossfit, everyone will improve and be valued within this community. Going to Crossfit 1607 has become the best part of my day and I would whole heartedly recommend it to anyone interested in a fitness community. Less

Last week I had the privilege to drop in to two classes at Crossfit 1607. I trained with both Marieke and Matt. Both classes were challenging and fun. Crossfit 1607 changed my life - that's not an exaggeration. It gave me an excitement to progress in the gym, and with the help of such quality and generous coaching, I saw results both in the gym and in my overall lifestyle. The coaches genuinely take joy in being there and helping people. Crossfit is not for one type of person. If you have any off-putting preconceptions about Crossfit, I'd encourage you to still give Crossfit 1607 a try. I originally thought Crossfit was simply a good way to get yourself injured, but after a friend convinced me to try Crossfit 1607, the quality and attention of the coaching there proved that preconception to be false. I also didn't think Crossfit would be the best way for me to gain muscle mass, but funny enough, after years of lifting weights in the gym and never seeing material results, I gained 18 lbs of bodyweight after 4 months of hard work at Crossfit 1607. Whatever your fitness goals are, i.e. lose fat and build lean muscle, Crossfit 1607 will give you the tools to get there. I am now traveling around Oceania and Asia for a few months before starting a job, and thanks to the things I learned at Crossfit 1607 regarding cardio movements, weightlifting, mobility/stretching, diet, technique, etc., I have continued to improve my physical fitness away from a home gym. I am able to create workouts anywhere, whether it be in a proper gym, in a playground, or on a beach. I love 1607 crossfit I been doing it for almost 3 month and I just can't stop coming to workout everybody treats you like family and the owners and trainers are very amazing they really take care of you and they help you reach your limits and goals .

Amazing! Matt and Garrett are so knowledgeable and helpful with all techniques to make sure you get the best workout and stay safe. I came to Crossfit 1607 to get a challenging workout, not only are you challenged but you're coached and supported throughout.

I've never had so much fun working out. The staff is very knowledgeable. They know about my back surgery and always ensure that I am using proper techniques. Just like having your own personal trainer.

I dropped in here while on vacation and couldn't have had a better experience. The warm-up and skill were very well thought out and Garrett provided great cues and coaching throughout. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area.

I was in town for a week and checked out this gym. Matt and Garrett were fantastic coaches! Having been introduced to Crossfit just a few months ago, both gentlemen took the time to focus on some of the key areas I could improve on during the short timeframe.

Dropped in while visiting my parents in Williamsburg. Very friendly group and great coaching. Seem to know their stuff and class well run. On the smaller side but defintely all the equipment you'd need for a great workout. Picked up some mobility exercises to help with my tight ankles! Unexpected help for a guest, thanks Garrett! Will defintely visit again next time I'm in town :)

Awesome Coaches, great people and always challenging!

I thought that I would get more injuries because of crossfit, but instead my lower back issues have really benefitted from the strengthening. I have Matt, Michelle, and Garrett to thank for their careful attention to my form and for motivating me to keep with it!

Everyone's really friendly and encouraging, it took me about 5 minutes to feel like I belonged and was a part of the team. Great workout, great utilities, great people.

I'm officially sold. The coaches are fantastic: knowledgeable, warm, approachable, and fun. The workouts are incredibly challenging, but manageable regardless of your level of fitness. I really enjoy the sense of community that the Midnights foster. I can't speak more highly of Crossfit 1607! I'm so glad I joined.
