First, we loved the concept that in just 1-2 weeks, you get a completely revamped kitchen, without having to move out of the house or major expense. Second, KTU stuck to their price estimate, which was good to start with -- no cost overruns, no extra fees, nothing. I posted Before & After pictures to show how Takia and her Kitchen Tune Up team transformed my 1980’s “on it’s last legs” kitchen into my dream kitchen. First the Kitchen Tune Up designer Ellen came to my house. She & I collaboratively designed the kitchen layout, picked out the cabinet style & color & the quartz countertop. Takia’s herself came out to measure the dimensions of our design. Takia’s two cabinet installers were on time, efficient, friendly & professional. Our kitchen desperately needed a modern look with refinished cabinets, new backsplash, new countertops, and a remodeled chimney stack. We were so impressed by the quality that Takia and her team provided. They refinished all of our cabinets to be white and we couldn't be happier. You would have no idea that they were painted. Very professional. The backsplash was done perfectly and we refaced our chimney with shiplap. The carpenter who was in charge refused to settle for anything less than perfection, even when it meant throwing away all the original wood that was shipped and starting from scratch. The price was very affordable, especially for the work that was done. They sealed off the area they were working on and cleaned everything really well. We hired Kitchen Tune up to repaint our existing kitchen cabinets from the original light brown color to an updated all white color. From our very first contact Takia was extremely responsive and open setting all expectations for the process and pricing. She stayed in contact before during and after to ensure everything was perfect. The team used for the painting was phenomenal. There was a foreman and a team of two painters who did the daily work. Takia gave me a quick appt. she came she assessed the condition of the cabinets and advised what they call a tune up which was exactly what I needed at a reasonable price.
