I have very sensitive skin and fast growing hair, so shaving usually leads to ingrown hairs, and I waxing seemed like too painful of an option. Located inside D'Orient Spa in Kensington, Genie Laser is setup in a super cute and comfortable treatment room. Eugene was so friendly and answered all of my questions when I saw her for a free consultation. The treatment itself was not painful, you can feel the laser when it targets the follicle but I barely noticed it because I was distracted with a great conversation. The area around the ankles and the bikini area were a bit more sensitive but totally manageable. This was also my first time getting a Brazilian, and Eugene really helped me to feel comfortable through it all. As of Nov 2, 2022 it has been one week since my appointment. My hair is growing back in but at a much slower pace; what would normally be 3 days growth has taken about a week, and no ingrown hairs either! I know this will take repeated visits but her services (which are reasonably priced btw) do come with a money back guarantee. I plan to update this review after further visits are completed.
