We contacted Handyman connection 12 days ago to get a quote for outdoor electrical work. I have been told numerous times that an electrician would call to set up a time to come by. No electrician ever called. I would have appreciated this company just saying they were too busy right now to take on this work instead of us waiting & waiting & wasting time. Thank you Handyman for your response. Just to clarify, when I filled out the online request for work, your system did not accept my order. The Etobicoke office called me on Nov 1 and said not a problem they could do the work. My husband followed up a few days later & was told another Handyman company would be giving us a quote….after 12 days we gave up as we were never contacted by a Handyman electrician. We had quite a few calls with only the office staff apologizing for the delays and that we would soon be contacted. Sadly this excessive delay was caused by 2 Handyman Connections. The Etobicoke office confused at the boundary of where they could work and the Scarbough Office continually promising us an electrician would call us that in the end was 12 days of no call for an electrician to provide a quote. I had requested a small project for the bathroom; painting the ceiling and removing the shower door and installing a shower rod. On the day of the appointment, the contractor arrived three hours late. He put one coat on the ceiling and left, saying he'd return in two days to put another coat of paint. Once he left, I closely inspected his work and realized that he had not removed the glue that had held the shower door to the wall. The contractor did not return in two days. I contacted him twice and he said he would try and find the time to come by and finish the project. It's been two weeks now and the work is still not complete. I have also contacted the office, Fadi Alwazani and Natalie Ricci, neither of whom has bothered to return my emails or my phone calls. They were so responsive when it was being set up, returning calls and emails within two hours and sending me the project details and invoices. I was also naive enough to trust them and pay them the entire sum of money. And I have been cheated by them. This is thoroughly unprofessional behaviour on their part. Less

Once they knew I am a DIYer and I could run the wires (to save labour cost) they did not show interest. We found this company by HOMESTARS network. HOMESTAR network must not have wrong reviews on there site about Handyman CONNECTION company and advertise unprofessional tradesman. Handyman Connection now will receive a letter from my Lawyer and request to complete the project. Cement work must be removed and redone again as it done very poorly On Monday Home inspector will be visiting to check the work done by employ Handyman connection and advice how to proceed. At the same time we book appointment with our lawyer to discuss how to proceed Harsh Winter coming and this work will be corrected before snow. I hired these people to come in and install a light fixture, mount a tv to the wall and put some furniture together. I was told on the phone that it would take 3 hours which I found to be too long, but because I saw ONE 4 star review, i'd try them out. BIGGEST MISTAKE OF MY LIFE !!! They came a couple of days later "late for the appointment" causing me to be late for work. One of them walked on my new white rug with their boots on causing stains that are still there to this day.... It took them 5 hours and they charged me a LOT more than was quoted. I complained, but they said to pay it or they will put me in collections. I am VERY angry and I STRONGLY advise everyone to look around before you call Handyman Connection. There are SO MANY companies around. These people I feel are not going to be around much longer.. They took a lot of my money, did a BAD JOB and were SLOW... NOT recommended ! Less
