The doctor was extremely attentive, explained each step clearly, answered all my questions, and had a very calming, reassuring manner. The staff was also friendly and well organized. I have completed corrective eye surgery (Femtolasik) at Vision Center and was very happy with the experience before, during, and after.The process is begun with an initial consultation to examine your eyes. A staff member will explain the process, options, answer your questions and provide contact lenses that will give a good approximation of what the results should be like.The next step is to schedule a more in-depth examination to take detailed measurements and determine if there are any variables that would mean you are not a good candidate for corrective surgery. I have no doubt the staff would be honest and open if someone is not a good candidate. Note that the second step involves dilation so you should not drive.If you are a good candidate, you can decide between PRK and Femto-Lasik. Both produce the same results but the difference is that PRK takes several days of recovery time (no driving) while with Femto-Lasik you are probably going to be functional the next morning. Regarding Femto-Lasik, topical anaesthetic will be added to your eyes so there is no pain whatsoever during the procedure. Approximately 30 minutes after the surgery your eyes will water and be hard to keep open, your nose will run, and maneuvering becomes difficult. Highly recommended to go home and take a nap or go to sleep depending on the timing. When you wake up in the morning you will feel much better.That laser operates on each eye for about 20-25 seconds which feels like a technological miracle. After surgery, you will have two consultations within a week or so and then the final one several months later. The staff will also send videos, reminder emails, etc.My surgeon was Dr. Farpour. He speaks French and English, was very communicative, has a good sense of humour and invited me to call him any time with questions and concerns. I felt comfortable going into the surgery and he kept me informed including by patiently answering my many questions.Regarding payments, once CHF 2000 has been transferred, the rest can be divided into smaller monthly payments without additional interest.Based on my experience and satisfaction with the results, I highly recommend Vision Center and Dr. Farpour.
