When realizing that I would have to move again. After having moved 3 26ft truck loads from DFW to Houston several years ago, I wanted to stay away from the rental truck / storage facility move method. I looked into pod units that could be rented from several companies. But the size of the units and logistics of getting the pods where and when I needed them appeared to be troublesome. UNITS Mobile Storage of Houston was a God send. I called and told "Units" what I was going to do, and when I needed to have it done, and they provided an excellent solution. We ordered a 16 foot Pod, it was delivered when we needed it, and placed in a location that suited me and my neighbors. I was then able to pack the POD at my leisure. When I filled it, I simply called "Units" and they came and picked it up and moved it to their storage area. (Note no unpacking at storage and then repacking to drive to location and then unloading goods in new home). It took 2 pods for all my stuff. "Units" was very responsive to my time requirements. I needed to hire local labor to help me unload the pods. "Units" was easy to work with, my closing date changed several times. Definity recommend and will use again on my next move. Less

I cannot speak more highly of UNITS! We were moving and the easiest option for us was to get a portable storage container so we could load it and unload it on our time. We have two toddlers so most of our work needed to be done while they were sleeping. I called around to a couple different “big box container” companies. One company which is the most well known, wasn’t able to tell me the soonest availability to drop off the storage container without sending an email first to that warehouse location and then would need to call me back at a later time. I am SO grateful I did more research and found this company! They’re local to Houston, Sylvia was amazing to work with! I literally didn’t have a single time I couldn’t call or text and get answers or help when needed. They were extremely flexible and able to schedule my UNIT drop off and pick up with very little notice. Compared to the other big player in the space, the UNITS method keeps your container parallel to the ground at all times. Additionally, the fact that you always deal with a local franchisee, rather than a central corporate means that you have a lot more flexibility e.g. our apartment complex wouldn't let the container be there overnight so we were able to do an early morning dropoff and pickup.
