I absolutely loved everything about my session from beginning to end. Emily did an amazing job on my hair and make up. Never in a million years did I think I could look this way. She also was amazing at holding a conversation as she worked. The atmosphere of the studio was amazing. I instantly felt welcomed when walking in to meet Deanna. I was so nervous to do this and Deanna could tell. She helped ease my nerves and so did Emily the make up artist. Emily did a wonderful job with my make up and hair. I was completely shocked at how I looked because I never had my makeup done professionally before. Emily did it very natural and tasteful. Then came the photo shoot. I booked a session with Deanna about a year before my actual photo shoot. The process was so easy. I was able to pay for my booking over that time. She ensured me that the communication would be detailed and clear. I never had to worry, because Deanna was true to her word! For hair and makeup, I knew I wanted my hair curly for my husband. I wasn’t sure exactly how I wanted my makeup. I gave her an idea of 2 ways. Between her and the stylist they created my look. I couldn’t have been more pleased with how my look turned out! When the day came for my session, walking into the studio, I was a little nervous. Which is normal. However, the setup makes you feel important! Like it’s your day and it’s all about YOU! The studio is spacious and full of so many ideas for photos! I immediately felt comfortable with Deanna and her stylist! It was so much fun getting to know them both. Needless to say I didn’t feel nervous for too long. I did get to have lunch before viewing my photos. There were plenty of good places to choose from in the area. When returning to the studio, I got to view my photos! I couldn’t help but tear up! They were and are amazing! Everything she said throughout the photo shoot had truly come to life. I wanted to share my experience working with Deanna at Moonlight and Lace Boudoir! I absolutely loved it!!! I was more on edge driving to the studio than I was entering the building! Hey there! I’m Amy. You’ve seen some of my photos from my session. I’ve never been the most confident when it comes to my looks or my body. Over the last couple of years my weight ballooned which didn’t help at all. About a year ago I had made the decision to get healthier, which led to my dropping a decent amount of weight. At the point of my shoot, I was still not feeling the greatest and struggled with connecting what others saw-namely the talented one behind the camera. Quickly and to my surprise, I felt more comfortable in my skin….and the time flew by! Sure, I was nervous about what would come across when I would see the final products, but at the same time I was excited too. Man!! I’ve thought about doing something like this for a few years. When I saw the opportunity on Facebook I knew it was now or never. Deanna called me and explained the process in great detail plus I received email updates while waiting fir my appointment. So I was excited and anxious not knowing how it would really be. When I got to the studio I was welcomed warmly by Deanna and the makeup artist, Kate. I felt very comfortable immediately. Makeup was done and then we looked at some outfits. Don’t be afraid to bring your own. Deanna “staged” me and was nothing but professional. I was sent to lunch(recommend Mexican across road) and then 45 minutes of the best massage I’ve ever had. Deanna has always been very passionate about photography and helping women discover their inner goddess, as far back as I can remember.
