Issac responded promptly on a weekend to my call to identify a leak somewhere in the plumbing system of my rental house. He searched for the source of the leak with a device that facilitate listening into the ground and beneath concrete slab. He also injected gas into the piping and used a sensor that would detect it emerging from the leaking pipe. Finally he wriggled into the the very confined crawlspace beneath the house where he located the leaking pipe. It was a challenging leak to find and Issac's persistence paid off. Less

Isaac from Action Leak Detection was highly professional and resolved a leak issue that I doubt anyone else could have detected. I would call him a "leak whisperer." We were losing water pressure and noticed our pump was constantly cycling. We tried all the usual troubleshooting steps—checking for wet spots or unusually green areas in the lawn, inspecting outdoor spigots—nothing worked. I even tried to rent a leak detection tool from Hardware Sales, but they no longer offered it due to reliability issues. After explaining my situation and acknowledging it may not work, they still declined. This is no shade on Hardware Sales. I love that company and very often they always have a solution. I’m just painting a picture of desperation here. At this point, our only option seemed to be hiring a plumber to run a new water line, which would have meant tearing up a concrete patio and significant landscaping damage. Thankfully, I found Isaac online. I texted him, and he responded within an hour. He came out the next day. Isaac brought extensive plumbing experience and took the time to thoroughly understand our setup, which involves a well and filtration system, adding extra complexity. He quickly zeroed in on where the leak might be. Without revealing all his methods, I'll just say that he found the leak—two feet beneath our old retaining wall, where a drain line was carrying the leaking water away, making it impossible for us to spot or hear. We had no documentation from the prior owner that a water line was even in that position. In order to repair we had to shore up the middle retaining wall which was incorrectly built to begin with further complicating the issue. The weight of the wall and the position of the waterline cause the line to be partially compressed creating a crack along the line. Taking Issac's advice we performed the repair and put in a way to access it. It's not ideal where the line is but it's fixed and we added some protection from the weight of the wall. Isaac’s ability to diagnose the problem so quickly was impressive. He even provided advice on how to fix the issue and offered to connect us with professionals who could handle the repair. Less
