My husband and our families completely agree with another reviewer: hiring her was the best money we spent.Olivia helped us plan and execute a weekend of events at the Outlook Inn on Orcas Island. Throughout the planning process, she was calming, thoughtful, kind, and insanely detail-oriented. I looked forward to all of our meetings, and I'm sad they are no more. Start to finish, her communication was excellent. I know she must have had plenty of other weddings, but her level of attention always made me feel like we were her only clients.As for the wedding weekend itself, it went off with out a hitch, which—despite the many many things to do and vendors to manage—was no surprise to me. I had so much trust in Olivia's ability to communicate, coordinate, and execute, that I could fully relax and enjoy the weekend. As a somewhat anxious person, this way a huge gift for me. When we started the process of wedding planning, we were very overwhelmed and Olivia supported us the entire journey. She helped us get organized (and stay organized), manage priorities, communicate with all our vendors, and come up with seemingly endless amounts of creative solutions. Olivia's experience and expertise show in everything she does. She has an extensive network in the San Juan Islands, and beyond, and was able to connect us into her community in any ways we needed during the planning process. She is INCREDIBLY detail oriented and put in so much work before our wedding to make sure everything ran smoothly. AND IT DID -- the wedding weekend was executed flawlessly. Right from the beginning of planning, she was extremely helpful in providing an inside scoop on what to expect from vendors, pricing, logistics etc. Throughout the planning process lots of vendors we worked with would tell us how Olivia and her team were their favorite to work with and it became very clear why when it came to the wedding weekend. Olivia and her team at Cloud 9 Events were nothing short of amazing. We had originally wanted to do our wedding somewhere on the San Juans because the location is a very special place to us, but we didn’t know where to start and were working on a limited budget. When we met with Olivia we explained our situation and she was eager to help us out and was certain we could make our dream wedding come to life. We ended up settling on the Camp Moran Environmental Learning Center (Olivia’s brilliant suggestion) and determined we would be having a summer camp themed wedding. Throughout the year+ long wedding planning process, Olivia gave us thoughtful suggestions, kept us on track with planning, and offered her connections that she has on Orcas Island. Living out of state, we were concerned that we may miss a few details planning everything from afar, but the team at Cloud 9 worked with us on everything and made sure our plan was being implemented perfectly. The weekend of the wedding came and Olivia went above and beyond. From coordinating the catering team and music equipment, helping us with picnic tables and benches, to having her husband come help late in the night to fix the commercial fridge that had went out - saving us from a catering disaster! We were so happy with our choice to use Cloud 9 Events to plan our wedding and we cannot recommend them enough. They are willing to go the extra mile for their clients to ensure that their wedding gets planned and executed to perfection!

Olivia and her team delivered a wedding that was better than anything my husband and I could have imagined, especially at our budget. We worked with Olivia on partial planning for our August 2024 wedding at Saltwater Farm on San Juan Island. Olivia and her team were amazing! They were very communicative and helped immensely during the wedding planning process, but exceeded every expectation in person over our wedding weekend. The C9 team helped with emergency accommodations for vendors, coordinated back-end logistics (and back-up transportation plans) for vendors, organized and moved countless wedding-related furniture and swag, expedited last-minute printing requests, put together out-of this-world decorations (including a photo wall that brought me and my spouse to tears!), and were endlessly positive throughout our time together. We were so grateful to have their help planning our event and would certainly recommend working with them if you are considering getting married in the San Juan Islands (or beyond!).
