My experience of private lessons with Cosmopoli' French was amazing! I began in a group in-person class with Nathalie which was really constructive and helpful. However I decided that I wanted a more tailored and individualised program. Nathalie was very positive and enthusiastic, as well as being very supportive in both learning contexts. After I finished the term of group classes, I had weekly zoom lessons with Nathalie that were very much tailored to my interests and travel plans. I completed homework between sessions and Nathalie sent me audio recordings of key vocabulary and documentation of all sorts. What I wasn't expecting was for it to be quite so much fun! We often laughed during these lessons and I am planning to resume classes when I return from France later this year. I loved learning without a textbook! I can strongly recommend individual, online classes for those planning to travel. It's an efficient use of time, is very reasonably priced and I found that my learning was greatly enhanced, mostly because it was such a positive experience for me - and because it was specifically tailored to my individual requirements. The best Beginners French class in Melbourne! It's well worth the money for what you're getting. The class is small which is ideal. The vibe is casual and fun. You learn so much in a short time. It's fast-paced and you'll do well especially if you're an independent learner and motivated..Nathalie is an amazing teacher. She's patient, friendly and encourages class participation all the time. Where can I start? First of all - the teachers were everything - funny, friendly, dedicated and immensely helpful! It is an intimate environment where one feels nurtured in their learning journey and immerses in the authentic French culture at the same time. Us students - we also bonded so well in class and had so many laughter along the way. I've got to say I love Cosmopoli'French and look forward to the classes each week. Cosmopoli'French is a great way to learn French in a warm, friendly and relaxed setting. Nathalie and the other teachers are fantastic and supportive and very knowledgeable and the other students have been great too. I have studied French in many ways but these classes finally give me the confidence to engage in conversation and discuss current topics of the day. Cosmopoli’French is a fun place to learn the language. The lessons are structured for real world learning, and I always take something new from each class. Nathalie and all the other teachers are patient and thoughtful, making sure each student is taken care of. They welcome questions and all classes are very interactive. I like that there are opportunities for some learning outside of the classroom as well such as the classes at a restaurant or the NGV. I have been learning with Cosmopoli’French for over a year now, and I observe see my French getting better with each term. I have been studying with Cosmopoli’French for about two and a half years now. All the classes have been very enjoyable with a lot of variety. I have studied French in a few places around Melbourne and this is definitely the best. The teachers have all been native French speakers and have been fun to learn with. What I like most is that we learn current spoken French from notes that have been developed by the teacher – not from old fashioned text books, although texts are suggested if you prefer to learn this way and of course there are always classes in grammar. Small class sizes allow for a high level of student-teacher interaction that benefits the whole group. Weekly resources are informative and relevant with up-to-date occurrences happening around France and French regions. Cosmopoli is THE place to learn French in Melbourne. So much better than the 'old desks and chairs' classroom setting mentality. This is the way learning a language should be! Relaxed, comfortable, small groups, activities outside of the classroom that actually IMMERSE you in the language so you get to practice it properly. Since starting with this school years ago, I have now travelled to france numerous times and found that the specific learnings from this school helped me really feel comfortable conversing in French.
