A month passed after hearing nothing from them and I rang to be told that they'd forgotten, I waited another week and phoned and was told the plumber who came out to me didn't work for them anymore but they'd look into it and send my quote. It was now 2 months and I still hadn't heard a thing so I rang them for the final time and the receptionist said she'd look into it, their communication is none existent and they messed me about several times. I'd never use them again, there was no need to treat me this way or leave me waiting two months when you knew my bathroom needed replacing, the service has been appalling. You wasted my time coming out to then not send a quote and you wasted my time by having me call you numerous times to chase something up. Less

I have found this company to be first class, I have had air conditioning installed by them and also my shower repaired, on both occasions I found the engineer to be very polite professional and knowledgeable. I’ve previous experience with Central (several years back) when they were efficient and responsive. Now however, I’ve spent weeks trying to get communication (phone & email) and confirmation only to be told with one week to go that they are unable to help. Wouldn’t recommend and will cease using.

Called CPH to deal with a leaking boiler which left us without heating and hot water. They were able to come out same day which was great. Engineer was there 15 mins to diagnose issue (£90). Was told it was a simple part to replace so all good so far. However they took my details down wrong so sent the quote to the wrong email address then two two days to return my call after several chases during which time we still had no heating. Issue sorted a few days later and the fitting and part was reasonably priced. While the engineer was here, I asked him to look at a jammed trv on a radiator and he confirmed it would need someone to come back out and take a look. I booked this in and thought I had also asked for the new radiator to be installed but when the guy turned up he wasn't aware of this and wouldn't have time to do it. He did drain the system and do the trv though but I've had to diy fit the rad and have had to redrain it a couple of times to deal with a leaking connection - my fault but this is why I asked for a pro install! Be clear what you want and double check. Nice engineers but feel a bit stung by the original call out charge and miscommunications. Less

An engineer came out on the 30th of September to verify what I had alread expressed what the issue was. He told me that I would get an email with a quote for the part and labour, he was with me or about 7 minutes. Central Plumbing & Heating quoted me £294.00 for "additional work". 4 days later on the 4th of October, I received an invoice for £90.00 for "Gas boiler breakdown/repair". I called about the invoice and questioned if this warranted a fee since the engieer was with me for just a couple of minutes, plus I wasn't aware of the call out fee and her response was yes. I wasn't going to rush to pay this until I recieved another email today, 7 days passed the "please pay by date." Which states that "Interest will accrue on all debts over 7 days until the time they are paid at the rate of 8% above the Bank of England’s Base Rate. Any debts that have to be chased will incur a handling charge of £50 plus VAT." Nowhere on the original invoice states this, it's funny on exactly the seventh day I received this email. Fraudsters, will not do business again and will not recommemed to anyone. Less

I contacted four suppliers and chose Central Plumbing and Heating for their ability to listen to what I wanted and their expertise in designing a system to suit my needs without any hard sell or overkill, not to forget a very competitive price. The installation included heat pump, boiler and radiators and was completed in 5 days by an engineer and assistant/apprentice with explanations and advice at every stage. They were prompt, polite and hard working and cleared up every day before leaving. I was then advised that another part might be needed and frustrated, I found someone from a different organisation to have a look who told me that the boiler could not be repaired and that I needed a new one. I fed this back to CH&P and Liam the Director kindly came to look at the boiler and promised a full refund for the above cost of the fan plus labour. Months later and despite several emails, I’ve still not received the refund. I really don’t like to put negative reviews for companies and have resisted so far, waiting for the refund but it still hasn’t been given so unfortunately I will never be using this company again. Water header tank was constantly overflowing. I called on Friday morning and a plumber came within 2 hours with the replacement parts. The job was completed quickly and the bathroom was left clean and tidy. The plumber was helpful and courteous. I would definitely use them again.

Came out to put a new tap on . We noticed it hadn't been fix up tightly and drips started to appear threw the roof . Contacted them and they did nothing. I had to repair the damage myself by replacing the ceiling boards below.

The engineer was professional and polite and arrived on time. He replaced an outside tap and repaired one inside. Before leaving he cleared all of the mess he had made.

I've been told by phone that they are charging £85 per hour and this job will not take more than 1 hour. An engineer came to my house and was instructed once again then I left him alone to do his job. After 1 hour I came back and the job has been done, however, not that I asked for, a pipe was relocated incorrectly, I was not able to fit my oven, so I asked him to redo the job. After 1 hour more he finished and charged me £223.33. Here I want to recommend to everyone to check the time. In my case, he was in my house for 2 hours and 15 minutes, but charged for 2 hours and almost 40 minutes. Together with this he went outside for 10 minutes to speak to someone and charged me for this as well. After this happened I called the reception, explained everything and asked for a partial refund, as work has been done incorrectly and not by my fault, as clear instructions have been given. I've been told that they don't understand why I am asking for a refund if a job has been done, so in their opinion, they can do a poor job and charge for it. After this, I spoke with their manager and he said to me that he will speak with the guy who was in my house to understand the full picture. I'm writing this review one month after my first call, I've been told many times that they will call me back, but never happened, today they even started to ignore my calls as I informed them that I will call back later again if nobody will call me back. If you will be in my situation choose the second option, something about payment and they will answer your call, don't choose the third one (For anything else). They offered to me a refund of £42, but I contacted the citizen advice and been told, that by law, for poor service I must receive a full refund - £138.33 in my case. Letter of deadlock has been sent and now I am waiting for their official answer. Ive used central plumbing and heating a few times now, for boiler services, fitting radiators and showers, and every time I do they are spot on, easy to deal with, turn up when they say they will and just crack on with no issues. Used for boiler service, very professional and good price

These guys are fantastic! Since I moved to a new property at the beginning of the year I’ve had to have a fair bit of work done to my very old central heating system and pipework. I could not recommend this company enough and will always use them if I have anymore problems in the future. They are all very polite, experienced and courteous. Great team! I used these guys to diagnose a fault in my boiler that another big company in Lincoln failed to diagnose and the engineer (Liam) managed to diagnose a leak in the main heat exchange straight away and even helped me to get it replaced under warranty! Will be using going forward.

I phoned here for a quote, the telephone staff are helpful and the call out time are pretty good. The only downside for me is there prices are a little high compared to some others in the same area.
