Vision Homes made our first home-building experience a great one! We had heard from many people in the Morgantown area that they were pleased with their homes that were build by Vision. My wife and I stopped in to see what all was involved, and from the beginning, Vision was easy to work with, accommodating, transparent, and extremely pleasant all around. Dave took us to a few lots that we wanted to look at and once we found where we wanted to build, he was very attentive to what we wanted and quick to get plans drawn up that matched what we were looking for. Once we had the house layout settled, we worked with Twila on all the details around designing the aesthetic of the house itself... there are a LOT of decisions that needed to be made. Dave and Twila had a very good system that had us making all of the decisions in a couple of sit-down sessions. It was nice to have all of that decided ahead of time rather than drawn out through the build process. The build went smoothly, despite all the bad weather this year, and we moved into our new home this summer. My family could not be happier with the house. It is everything we wanted and looks even better than we had hoped for. Guy led the entire build, and he is truly a master of his craft. Through the whole process, Dave, Twila, and Guy were amazing to work with. I talked to them multiple times a week through the entire build process and they were always happy to take my call or have me stop in, they answered all of our questions quickly and accurately, and were very accommodating to the few things that we wanted changed after the build started. The entire Vision staff was extremely friendly and professional and very good to work with. I would highly recommend this company to anyone in the Morgantown area looking to build a home. Their work is fantastic!

As someone who has built a home with Vision Homes, I can tell you all that this team knows what they’re doing. They treated my partner and I as family-friends from the moment we stepped foot in their office. Dave and Twila were wonderful to work with: informative, personable, caring. Any and all concerns or questions we had during the process were addressed promptly and directly to keep us informed. Rocky was so generous to us and really made it clear that he cared about the work his team does. We met with many of the crews during our build process and they were all very professional and kind. Their work speaks for itself, honestly. As I sit here and type this out from my new office, I know for sure that if I were to do this process over again (I won’t be, because I’m already in my perfect home), I would choose Vision Homes to do the job over and over again.

We began looking for a builder to build our home in early 2023. We met with a few builders before we met with Dave at Vision Homes. We knew after that first meeting these were our people! We met a few times with Dave to choose our layout, figure out a budget and figure in our “must haves.” Building a home is a big undertaking and it is A LOT of decisions. Vision Homes’s team was great at helping us make those decisions. They answered any question quickly. Once our layout was final we went to the next stage and worked with Twila to choose cabinets, countertop, paint, flooring, light fixtures…literally everything! This is why the process is so quick once they break ground because no decisions will hold you up down the line. There honestly wasn’t a time where I felt overwhelmed or nervous. Twila helps every step of the way with water, electricity, all of that so you aren’t on your own to figure it out! They have so much experience and truly want to build you a beautiful home!After our first meeting in January 2023, breaking ground in September 2023, we moved into our home just over a year later in March 2024! We have been here over a year now and love our home. Vision Homes feels like family and we had a wonderful experience working with them!

We approached Vision Homes to build our house after spending 2 years looking for a home. We met many times with Dave who was professional, thoughtful, and understanding at each meeting. He designed a home that met our needs and fit within our budget. Dave used his years of experience to find us the perfect use of space on our lot. We then moved on to Twila who made the daunting task of picking finishes a breeze. We have lived in our home for over a 1 year and have faced zero issues. We would easily choose Vision Homes again and we weekly recommend them to our family and friends!

I was pretty nervous about building a new home. I didn’t know where to start. I had so many questions before even getting to a floor pan. After sitting with Dave for a few hours(and many many phone calls) I knew I wanted to build with this company. Dave went above and beyond. He helped us go over every single detail, drawing after drawing to be sure we were getting exactly what we wanted within our budget. I never felt like I was being pushed to upgrade or spend more which is what I liked about Vision. In fact Dave had a lot of suggestions for how to save us money. If I had to start this process over again I would choose Vision every time.

UPDATE: June 24, 2025Dave gave me an estimate of one million dollars quote and he was very rude from the start, to being okay when we were there in the office, to being out of touch to reality. It was not a realistic quote at all. It was really like struggling to contact him and the cost to build it was not existent. He didn't give us any specifics of why the price of a 2,000 square foot house has gone dramatically from upper 200s to the huge jump of price to one million dollars. Is he kidding me? As if he was showing us a 3,500 square foot house that we were going to build. He wasted our time and money because he said he can do custom. The floorplan he showed was that the foyer as you enter, the laundry was behind the wall of the dining room area and then the house was one level house with unfinished basement and worse, the sizes of each room and so many others. The floorplan was nothing but a small scratch of pencil used and there was no finished product shown at all. I called and he said he had only an hour to do the drawing and still nothing was presented to us like how the cost just jumped into a million dollars but no specifics like a quote to send us. There is no way the house would cost a million dollars from high 200s for one level 2,000 square foot house.The worse experience because the plans were so dated and that Dave has no clue what the floor plan to start off with. Took so long to do the floor plan and drawings were not good at all. Custom homes he said but would not give the honest response. No details and the overall experience was a disaster. I don't recommend this builder at all. Rude and cannot understand why their prices were too much just for a 2,000 square feet. Vision homes has been AMAZING from the very first meeting. We ran across vision on google by accident or should I say fate. After leaving our first appointment we knew this was the perfect company to build with. Dave worked endlessly to find the perfect floor plan to fit in our budget. Twila, was an angel helping us pick everything in our house. I went in to the design meeting being pretty clueless. It took us a short two hours to pick everything and we left feeling very confident in our decisions. Rocky and Hannah answered any and all questions we had in a timely manner.
