We had a wonderful tour guide. He catered the tour to our groups specific interest (My daughter was doing a book report on Andrew Carnegie). He was engaging and kind. He was highly engaging and I think he enjoyed giving the tour as much as we enjoyed being on it. He (with our permission) extended our tour by about two hours to really dig deep on the local history and answer all our questions. 10/10. Highly recommend. You wont be disappointed. Less

We had a fabulous time on our tour with George! He was a delight! He's courteous, professional, and FUN! I thought I knew the city, but George's knowledge, insights, and personal stories made Pittsburgh's history come alive. I wish we'd had more time. George De Bolt is an awesome tour guide. He drove us around Pittsburgh and really gave us a feel for the city and its spirit. He pointed to historic buildings , brought us to an incline. We rode the incline and then he showed us the interior workings of the Duquesne Incline ( An incline is a sort of an elevator that goes an an angle.) Lastly, I am not generally a sports fan, but got an appreciation for the devotion that “ Yinzers” ( Pittsburgh’s slang term for themselves) have for their teams) A high light of our tour was when he showed us “ the immaculate reception”. It is a foot print in cement where the Steelers member Franco Harris caught the ball and saved the day. Less

We had a wonderful tour with George! He customizes the tour based on your interests and hobbies. He is SUPER knowledgeable about Pittsburgh and history in general, and he does it all with a sense of humor! He is a captivating speaker, involving participation from those who are taking the tour. While I have never lived in PA or Pittsburgh, my parents grew up in the area and I have a lot of family here, so I have visited a lot, but this is the first tour I’ve ever taken, and George taught me so much about Pittsburgh that I never knew. George was fantastic!!! If you want to learn about Pittsburgh take this tour!! George picked us up and dropped us off at our Airbnb. He was a wealth of information! He had photos and maps to help orient us all during the tour. We have done a lot of city tours - and Pittsburgh would have been hard without a guide because there is not a lot left to physically look at - but George did a fantastic job bringing to life what once was there!! Even more fun was that everyone knew him on the funicular!! Less
