I struggled with constant low back pain for years before I finally came in to see Dr. Brian seven months ago. I’d went to a chiropractor briefly around ten years ago but wasn’t happy with the care and didn’t see an improvement, so I was a little hesitant to try it again. I am so glad I chose to come here! I began to experience sciatica and hip pain so I went in for a consultation. I thought I would have to give up something I had become so passionate about but that was not the case at all. I’ve been coming to the practice for a little over a year and when I first arrived, I had a mobilizing back pain. I’ve experienced moments where laying flat on the ground was the easiest thing for me to do to the point where trying to roll over or sit up straight, felt nearly impossible, and had nearly brought me to tears. I also was involved in a major motorcycle accident, where the aftermath was not nearly as painful as, the back pain that I was experiencing, though I’m sure that didn’t help either. I’m in my 30s and have a history of sports from early childhood through college. I’ve done manual labor within the service industry and I’ve been blessed to work remotely. I’m sure sitting at a desk is not the best thing for you, but it seemed all of my experiences had begun to compile . I do my best to stay active and to watch my posture, and it got to the point where all I wanted someone to do was to stand on my back, or do anything to relieve pressure. I would find myself taking ibuprofen or Tylenol and heavier doses just to make myself more comfortable, and one of my doctors had recommended using opioids to manage the intense [painful] sensations I was feeling. It only put a Band-Aid over it, but never addressed the root cause. He did. Doctor B. As always, been compassionate, professional, informative, and understanding during this entire process. On cloud 9 this morning. I have been seeing a chiropractor Dr. Brian for about 2 months. I have been told for years, I can't run again because of my back. I was getting those shots, didn't help. Couldn't find a new cardio that I liked. Well last week Dr. Brian (AlignLife, Nexton) said I could slowly start again (testing the waters). That was all I had wanted was to have no pain and run again. I would run a bit, go see him. (he's inside Bold Fitness gym). Said looked good, felt good. Soooo, today I pushed. Ran 1 to 2 minutes about every 2 minutes. No pain, just lots of sweating and breathing hard. I went and saw him, said I lined up, not much out of wack. Was a good day.
