I enjoy a professional shoe shine. I am persuaded it is good for the leather. It gives you a more professional look. There also is the friendly banter that is integral to the experience. I have patronized this stand at Union Station. I've probably been here a dozen times or more over the years. They do excellent work. I have not been disappointed. In particular, they do the edge dressing. You will feel like a million bucks. The fellows I've chatted with are friendly. They like their jobs. That is important. They deserve the business. If only there were more places such as this, but they are disappearing.

I used to work in DC. Now I live in Richmond. Whenever I'm in town, the Union Station Shoe Shine is a must stop for me. I always come through to get my shoes shined. The quality of service is impeccable!

Could not be happier with my shoe shine! My black Chelsea boots got a whole new life. Highly recommend! You don’t need a train ticket but it is a super convenient spot for commuters.

Let me start off my saying, this is my first time experiencing shoe shining. It’s a work of art what Dave was able to do to my brand new work boots that had to be stripped of the factory gloss to be shined with an actual professional quality gloss. The conversation was pleasant and he was very prompt when I called him at 9am on a Saturday. I drove from Richmond Virginia to get my boots ready for inspection and it was worth every minute and penny. The prices are beyond reasonable. ($15) Dave even packed my boots up so I could have them perfect for my special day. I’m telling you to make sure you grab any leather shoe or boot and bring them here asap to restore the quality and shine. He even offers drop off and services. I’m actually amazed. I hope this is useful for someone, because I don’t typically do reviews unless I’m actually impressed. 5 stars isn’t enough.
