Exceptional service for a complex solar projectOur farm recently had a large 28kW ground-mounted solar system installed by First Sun Solar, and the experience from start to finish was impressive. From the outset, Jeremy and the team provided a competitive and detailed quote with options. What set them apart wasn't being the cheapest — it was that they genuinely worked in our best interests. They visited the site multiple times to fully understand the scope and complexity of our project. Our installation was not straightforward. With 60 panels on Clenergy specific ground racks, hundreds of metres of cabling, a Sigenergy battery and inverter system, and numerous specific limitations and operational requirements, feed multiple buildings this was a project that needed real expertise and attention to detail. Although we did provide part of the structural work, we were able to work together very well to deliver the best outcome. The workmanship is excellent. Eli, Jack and the team were friendly and professional. If you're considering solar — especially a larger or more complex system where the details really matter — look no further than First Sun Solar. We are thoroughly satisfied and couldn't recommend them more.

If i could leave a lower rating I would. Run for the hills. The service has been nothing short of appalling. Never responding to emails or phone call enquiries - refusing to acknowledging questions around install. took over a year of phone calls to get any resolution.UPDATE - in response to the company comment below - 2 YEARS LATER - your communication was shocking and I never call anyone at 8pm. I have kids. I am in bed myself at that time of wrestling them to bed. Yes I withheld payment for a period of time, because you wouldn't come to check the work or return my phone calls. Even the debt collector company you sent to me agreed you had to send someone to check the work and only at that point did you send someone to check the work. Which I still wasn't convinced was installed correctly because it wasn't reducing our electricity bills at all. So, 18 months ago I finally paid an independent contractor to come and review the install and it was CONFIRMED it was not installed correctly and was not servicing our whole house. It was only providing solar to our garage - Since then, and ONLY since then, have we seen the solar power reductions to our electrictiy bills. So - don't try to gas light me with your 7 paragraph response. I stand by my original review.

From the very beginning, meeting Jeremy to the team Dan, Liam, Eli and Jesua, we were very impressed with their knowledge, expertise and courtesy. The two days the team installed the panels and battery were very hot and humid, but that didn't deter their enthusiasm and thoroughness to complete the job within that time frame. We would allocate 6 stars if we could for such excellent workmanship.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: Jeremy and his team did an amazing job beginning to end...[insert more original glowing review info which I've since deleted]A few months after installation, in Dec 2024, I had a small roof leak under the solar panels. I contacted the director, Jeremy Ball, several times over the next few months, and despite him telling me that someone would be out to fix it several times, nothing was done. Then he simply stopped responding at all.The small leak was never fixed: It turned into a Big Leak and became a serious and expensive problem.I raised a complaint with the Building Commission, who informed me that the legal entity that was trading as FirstSunSolar was deregistered, so they couldn't help me. They went into liquidation in July 2024 & were deregistered when that process was finalised a year later.Jeremy Ball has since created a new legal entity under which he continues to run the business with the same trading name of FirstSunSolar. As a customer of the previous liquidated, deregistered business, my warranty is as good as worthless.Buyer beware.

Just a big call out to Jeremy, Dan, Josua and the rest of the crew. All praise for their workmanship and energy. They worked non stop from 7.30am to 6pm in 30 degree heat. Because I had a medical device that needed power 24/7, I recently had a battery installed by FirstSunSolar. There were problems from day one and little enthusiasm from FirstSunSolar to rectify them.

Jeremy and his team were brilliant, from the first enquiry to the installation of my big battery and panels. His quote was super competitive and very detailed. Late changes were no problem. Jeremy also arranged installation of a new hot water system at the lowest price around. Highly recommend First Sun Solar!

Outstanding! In our initial meeting with Jeremy onsite to assess the job we were impressed by his calm, patient and respectful manner in listening closely to our goals and providing pathways to achieve them.Jeremy demonstrated a high level of expertise in meeting potential challenges in upgrading our system to include batteries, more panels, hybrid inverter, gateway and a 25kw dc charger—all of which now run seamlessly. The team members at First Sun Solar were a pleasure to have onsite for the install. They were professional and courteous and consistently demonstrated a fine attention to detail, resulting in an excellent outcome.Integrity and a high level of expertise were very important to us in choosing our installer. We found all this and more in First Sun Solar.

Javan from First Sun and Cristian from Harvest Power were absolutely amazing! Without them, I wouldn’t have the main infrastructure for my solar system - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️It’s just a shame that I bought a second hand inverter and battery system from the owner where the batteries were so old and out of date(manufactured in 2015), that 3/5 of them were useless and wouldn’t charge, while the 2 barely functioning ones left hold their charge but the power is sucked from them if you use any power whatsoever. It has made me research into purchasing new batteries from a seperate company that actually specialises in off grid systems.

The team at FirstSunSolar were top notch with the install of our solar system and batteries. From the very first day to the last and now beyond, they have been very professional and passionate about their work. Navigating through the complexity of going to solar and batteries was made easy by the team. I can't recommend them highly enough.
