Event was prepared and ready at start time. Ms Jewel is a sweetheart.
Very fun and interactive. Lots of room for children to explore and fun activities to keep them entertained
Great class day 😊😊😊loved
The staff at Gymboree were wonderful, patient, and fun to be around. I highly recommend you stopping by and letting the energy and creative run free! Loved my time being here.
One of our favorite activity in DC! This place encourage our child physical, cognitive, social and language skill while she is having fun playing. The singing skill for class are absolutely professional. Our child Lilith really looking forward to the class every time we planning to be there she has a really great time every time!
Mr Seth is amazing! My kid had so much fun with Mr Seth! Especially she liked bubbles and parachute game!
The music class was not worth $25. They basically dumped shakers, maracas, tambourines, and bells on the floor for kids to grab, and played music while we walked in a circle. Nothing you couldn't do yourself.
All teachers and staff Rock! You can tell they do their best to ensure every baby and child enjoy the activities and learn new skills. My daughter has a lot of fun every time we come play and learn.
We had such a fantastic time at Gymboree for my daughter's 2nd birthday party. It was a seamless experience, and they made wrangling a group of 2 and 3 year olds so much easier. Check in process was smooth, the play structures were fun, the activities were well run, and everything was clean and comfortable! And clean up was taken care of - once food was done and the toddlers got cranky, we just packed up! The most difficult part was finding parking, but no more than any other experience in the city. I would 100% recommend for toddlers' birthday parties. Thank you, Gymboree! Less
Our little one had a lot of fun at the Family Play session today. She got to meet many new and cute friends too. We will definitely come back.
I came for my little cousins one year old birthday party. It was absolutely beautiful. The Director for the day has a beautiful voice welcomed all the children and the adults. Everyone feels welcomed. All of the children had great time the smiles, something that will stay with me forever
We had a great time with Mr Seth today! Mila was a bit shy but we enjoyed the warm atmosphere
We had the best family play class with Mr. Seth! Very engaging and fun for all ages.
Mr Seth is our favorite teacher
This place was great. We went for a birthday party and had a blast. Best part was— it was soooo clean/safe. ☀️ Mr. Seth led an awesome class too!
The experience was great, I only see the music teacher should sing more other than put music and dance.
Been coming to Gymboree for a few years with the kids I take care of. What a wonderful place. My kids love coming and thrive from the experience they have there. Staff are extremely friendly, helpful and wonderful to be around. Not just for kids but also the adults
LOVE Gymboree, especially Ms. Jewel. My now 5-month old has been in the Babies & Crawlers class for 6 weeks and he benefits so much from it. The songs, the equipment, the activities, interacting with other babies, etc. I look forward to this time with him each week. Ms. Jewel brings energy and love to each class (and a great playlist, too!). Highly recommend!
Great care and fun in a rainy day!
We went to a Family Art session and the children LOVED it! It was Classic Gymboree - worth every penny! There was a winter theme. The children explored ice, created raised ice cream & cone art, made homemade ice cream - which they sampled during story time ,which were two wonderfully read and animated snow themed stories. The staff was professional, friendly and accommodating. We will return... More

Had a wonderful time at DC Gymboree!
Great place for music classes, or just to go for a free play on a rainy or hot day. We went today and loved Ms. Jewel -- she was super kind, friendly, and helpful! The soundtrack was great too -- I found myself dancing to the music and it made the normal monotony of following a toddler around way more fun.
Such a lovely experience! Was so happy to have a safe indoor play place for my son. All adults were masked and the place was clean. The teachers were so friendly and encouraging. I signed up for a monthly membership after attending the first class as I knew my son would love to continue coming here.
My son had a fantastic time singing, clapping, playing and blowing bubbles with the facilitator and new friends! We felt very comfortable in this group of strangers alongside us for play and look forward to our next visit and our upcoming birthday party there!
My baby and I enjoyed a lot the Gymboree classes! The teachers are great and everyone is so friendly 😊👌🏽 Los recomendamos!
We had so much fun here! The lead teacher was very patient with my overly excited toddler.
This place is just wonderful! A great mix of music, physical challenges and social interactions.
Great experience! My little one loved it!

Very nice and clean space for toddlers, and very sweet instructors. Would definitely return!

Gymboree is a great place.
Our 16-month old and her nanny share buddy love their Family Music class with Seth. We’ve tried a few other classes and they’ve enjoyed all of them. They also love the climbing gym in the playground area.
What an amazing thoughtful experience! Not only did the staff go out of their way to tailor, set up, and take care of every detail for my son's first birthday - they also designed the games, activities and songs around our birthday theme of the Very Hungry Caterpillar. All the families had a fantastic time and wanted to do their kid's birthday here as well!
Everyone here is awesome, from the operator (Randy) to the teacher. I take my son here as often as I can. Highly recommended.
Our 2 year old goes to the music class here each week and sometimes open play. The teachers, especially Mr Seth, are great. Scheduling is easy via the app. Feels clean and safe during COVID.
Gia started from 7 months. Gymboree is her second home. Val and Seth were able to see her development and I am grateful for being a part of it. First time at the Crawlers class today with Meshel. We loved it, the theme was 'tunnels' and our little one had an awesome time. I've never seen her want to crawl that much! Thank you. Only giving 4 stars instead of 5 as I wish it was a little more affordable - (but it's in line with DC prices)
I really enjoyed time with my daughter during this class. My daughter really liked it. The staff was very attentive and everything was very clean. Overall, it was a great experience.
My 2.5 son loves the open gym and music class here. The teachers make it so much fun, and the owner, Randy, is awesome. I’m looking forward to having a birthday party for him here come December!
We absolutely love coming here with our very active 2 year old. The owner Randy and his staff are amazing and attentive and make each class extremely fun and engaging! Home to Study Hub DC now. Highly recommend this place for parents who are needing assistance with the Remote Learning for their children.

How happy I was to find out about this location. The main asset Of Gymboree DC is teachers - they are wonderful and caring, very kind and attentive to all kids. The playroom is spacious and the layout is being changed every other week, so your child will not get bored. We tried several classes so far and all of them were a success. However if you don’t want to attend the class you can opt for an open play and just be there with your child. I would imagine that birthday parties must be amazing there, and no hustle for parents. If you ask me, I can’t name any disadvantage of Gymboree DC. GO for it! P.S. - parents bring socks for yourself - parking is available at reasonable charge - don’t forget you child’s snack and water - booking classes online is very convenient Good luck! Less
My children love Gymboree!! They have a great staff and really nice facilities. My daughter loves Mr. Rob!!. We definitely continue going to Gymboree.
We had a great first time experience! The facility was clean and the front desk greeter was friendly, inviting and knowledgeable. He interacted with the kids during open gym which I thought was amazing. He encouraged me to come back for a class. We will definitely be returning. My baby really enjoyed himself!
This place is just wonderful for toddlers! A great mix of physical challenges, music, and social interaction. We live overseas and recently spent 3 months in D.C. Gymboree was unquestionably the highlight of my 2 year old's U.S. experience. She's still asking for "Gymbo" and strumming her imaginary guitar!
Great place for kids to enjoy music and play!
We love the DC Gymboree and its staff! The equipment is rearranged frequently so the kids always have something new to explore and staff are enthusiastic and engaged. It's a bonus that this location is near the metro and zoo as well as having offstreet parking if needed.
Our kids have been playing and learning at the Gymboree in Woodley Park for years, and they love it! The teachers are great, the facility is bright and clean, and because the stations are reconfigured every few weeks, playing there never gets "old". :)
My daughter loved Gymboree , she attended weekly classes with her nanny and they both had a great time. The play area and music rooms were engaging and entertaining. We only left recently as she grew a bit old for the groups but we are big fans and greatly enjoyed our time spent there.
This is a great indoor place space for the little ones. The play structures hold their interest and provide lots of stimulation and opportunities to learn coordination!

It wasn't a big deal, and it has an easy fix. Furthermore, Randy is 100% doing a *service* to members when he cancels classes on a snow day and replaces it with day-long open gym, so that everyone can drop in (classes are sorted by age). MOST IMPORTANT: Luciana and Rob, the instructors, are INCREDIBLE (hold on to them Randy!) Both are professionally trained musicians and give 110% every class, showering love on every single child. No idea how they keep track of so many names, they're both angels. Less

I am shocked my wife just recived an email from Gymboree Play & Music DC - specificity from the NEW owner Randy Brown - I assume was sent to all customer asking for people to share their reviews. It did also specifically ask people not to leave a review if you would rate under 5 starts and to contact Randy Brown directly instead. Unfortunately, I do not believe, nor feel, my concerns would be addressed if I did so. I am extremely disappointed with the services and recent experiences I have received from Gymboree Play & Music DC, specifically since they have gone under new ownership. The former owner was a very sweet woman who to me seemed to be much more friendly, kind, community oriented and understanding of a child's needs, but most importantly a family with young children's needs. It is truly an unfortunate situation. Since Randy Brown has taken over he has changed the schedule multipul times without giving advance notice. This means families, like mine, who plan daily schedules in advance show up expecting to take a class and are told either one of 3 things - that they are there at the wrong time and have to leave, that they are closed, or recently it's been that there is no classes running at all but they have all day open play time - How can you ask families to pay over $100 per month and cancel classes multiple times in a week? Last month there was only one Friday that actually had classes, otherwise it was all day open play, no classes, and we didn't get any sort of advance notice. You just show up and never know what to expect. Under the old membership option we were paying somewhere around $80 for 1 class per week and all the open play times we wanted to come to. Very reasonable, especially when you have a nanny who can use the space during open play on cold, wet or hot days. When Randy Brown took over we received an email that he was uping the membership option to a little over $100 per month for unlimited classes and open play times. We were a bit annoyed that existing customers couldn't choose to keep the old membership option, but looked forward to unlimited classes. Then they continue to cancel classes, so you really aren't getting unlimited classes anyway, and the open play hours went from everyday, for 3-4 hours per day, to just 4 days a week. The worst part is that this was at the beginning of Winter when families with young children are looking for a fun, clean, safe and most importantly warm place to play. When my wife reached out to address this he insisted that he actually added more class offerings, but when you compare the old schedule to the new schedule that was a lie. He then, as I said before, continued and continues to change the schedule with no notice. I am sure any parent out there would agree how stressful and disruptive this could be for a child and their caregiver. Gymboree was a big part of our family life, our nanny use to take our 3 kids there every day, but unfortunately we had to discontinue our memebership due to the new ownership. The former teachers, who were outstanding, are no longer teaching there and the place just doesn't feel the same any longer. The new teachers are no where as educated, friendly or energetic as the former teachers were, which really disrupts the classes. It is very sad that I even have to write this review. I just wanted to be sure someone spoke up about what is going on there. My wife, nanny and I have spoke with many other families who have the same feelings as we do and have either discontinued membership or are seriously considering it. My nannies exact words to us the other day were "Gymboree really use to feel like our second home and now it feels nothing close to home," which is one of the reason we decided to discontinue membership. I am sad for my children but we cannot justify spending over $100 per month any longer, it's just not worth it. Less

The classes are so joyful and focused on exploration- rather than rule-following. Especially with my dare-devil baby, it just feels so good to be in a place where I know he'll always get a smile and a laugh from the staff, who welcome all the children to be themselves and take things at their own pace.
