Best gym in town

The owner actually listens to his customers and genuinely cares about customer service. It's nice working out at a place where the owner actually lifts instead of someone who just owns a gym. Awesome!!

Moved to the area and this is by far my favorite gym. Love the variety of equipment, staff is always so welcoming, the people are always nice, and I love how the owner is always improving something. I do hope the restrooms are updated next! I’d love to see full body mirrors!

The Health Club program is a lie and scam. DO NOT sign up for any “Fitness Program” at this establishment. It is a scam. They tell you desciiptions that is not in the contract and they trick to you to sign a 12 month contract! They tell you tryout for 16 weeks than you can opt but that is a lie. Don’t recommend at all!!

I’ve been working out here for a little bit now and can’t be more pleased with Tx Fitness. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the machines are always working and you next to never have to wait to use a machine.

So pissed that they revoked the large open room for classes only without notifying anyone and without reducing membership costs. I've been here for 2 years and the communication at all times of year is dogcrap. The owner doesn't care about clients and half of the equipment is always broken. Great gym, lots of equipment. The kids zone has an awesome crew of ladies to watch our babes, and they are always excellent. Gyms usually clean and they've just been continuously upgrading this year. Best gym I've found in the area.

I made a comment to which, the staff members then turned around to see the kids and grabbed my daughter. One, parents, teach your kids to be kind. Two, the Kid Zone should not be functioning in a business if the staff do not even pay attention to the surroundings. I am not saying to change their diapers, but pay attention to what kids are doing. I also had no idea all the kids would be in one room together, at my pervious gym it was based on age groups. I cancelled my membership the next day because my daughter comes first and I will not give a company a second chance when it comes to her. On the bright side, the cancellation process is very simple. The gym is good and has lots of equipment it’s just so packed everyday that I can’t get a full workout in without having to wait 20 min for each machine to become available.

I went in and canceled my membership months ago. I travel quite a bit and realized they have been charging me this whole time. The new owner refuses to give me a refund, which would be around 240.00. He was supposed to reach out to their billing company and give me an update if there is anything they could do. Haven't heard back. Guess he won't be calling me.

Good gym with a good selection of free and machine weights and cardio equipment. They could do a better job of repairs on broken equipment and I sometimes wish they had more of certain types of equipment but all-in-all thy have everything you need. I really like the sauna. It's my favorite feature and what sold me on this gym over others that I looked at.

However she came at me aggressively and asked me to leave. I responded to her that I was almost finished. She proceeded to raise her voice and yell telling me to leave. She got the manager and he has advised me there were new rules in place and that I cannot excerise/stretch during a class ok understandable! However during my conversation with the manager Erica became agressive again and continued to yell at me clapping her hands telling me I was rude. I responded to her I'm just matching your energy. The "manager" witness her unprofessional conduct and apologized on her behalf. However when I returned the next day my membership was cancelled. Management never contacted me or sent me any information that they were canceling my membership. It's apparent that her behavior was condoned. Please issue me a prorated refund!!!! We walked in and the guy who was watching over the kids did not approach us at all until we asked who worked there. The guy was not helpful in answering questions. Ironically, one of the kids there knew the answers to our questions. This did not give us confidence to return. It is disappointing since in other areas the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. If you do not have kids, this is a great gym. Otherwise, you may need to look elsewhere. Less

In my opinion it's the best gym in the Forney-Terrell area. The dry sauna is the one feature that really separates them from all the others in the area. A very reasonable monthly membership fee makes this gym the best option hands down for any of your fitness needs.

I been coming to the gym for a while probably a little more than two years and it was nice but over time it just getting afoul, some of the equipment work and some don’t. You don’t have good connection for your phone around this area and the wifi they have is trash. You have to download your Spotify playlist because your phone doesn’t get connection and the wifi is good for nothing

Vina’s classes are amazing!! She’s always very helpful and definitely makes you sweat it out. Always my go to class at this gym. Highly recommended.

White female from parking lot had a white child with pigtail who had a pink shirt and shorts, she tried talking to the barbers next to this place to get the young woman in trouble, but they saw how she had nothing, how she was making things up, and the other customers inside backed up the girl, I included. After her tantrum, I wonder why he decided it was his turn. Please find him/them and punish their unruly behavior. We are humans and we deserve to just exist (hopefully peacefully and well off). Male Profile: White male, holed earrings (the ones where you have a gauge), blue eyes, gray cap (and he wore it like he wanted to be a cooler, younger guy he would never be), gray crop top shirt, fit-ish (some muscle, not scrawny, but not fit fit), shorts, acted like he had authority (harassed a young female going to car by telling her "not to walk here (the parking lot) anymore" and "he did not want to see her around," displaying he often goes to this place, was known by other locals and store owners and was even called out by others and a family member when I went to talk about it with the locals. This business has stated that they do not know him even as the other stores do and that he has done this before, so here is more information as I can not post a picture so that he may be found (since there aren't cameras??). In addition to this, his brother-in-law has stated he has done things like this and was told to talk to him about his behavior. Joined this gym a week ago and have been so impressed, your always greeted and made to feel right at home as soon as you walk into the front door. The gym itself and locker rooms are always clean and sanitized. And the classes offered are so great with extremely friendly and helpful instructors!

TX Fitness is great, my brother and I are going through our own workout plan. TX Fitness has every piece of equipment we have needed and I don't expect that to change. The staff is extremely friendly and the other members are too. They even have classes that are included in your membership. If you are looking to join a gym this is definitely one I recommend.

This is a great gym that offers variety. It is a great environment clean and friendly. They have multiple classes throughout the day, they even have a kids zone so you don't have to worry about making time to go.

Great gym with a lot to offer. Prices are great. New machines are added regularly, and existing equipment is maintained. The gym is large and kept clean. The daycare makes coming to the gym so easy for me. The daycare staff are all very kind, and personable. They know my kids by name, and ask about them if I come to the gym without them. There’s plenty of classes offered too.

TX Fitness is a nice, clean, well balanced gym. The staff and fitness trainers are always polite and helpful. The equipment is well maintained and there is a nice verity of machines/studio/free weights to complete any workout plan.

Jyst signed up with TX Fitness last week after years of loyalty to 24 hour and the trainer who quit when the going got tough. BEST thing that ever happened to me!!! Josh is a better trainer! TX is a smaller, cleaner, better managed and better equipped facility. At a competitive price. aka much better value. The Fates have smiled on me. I’m back on my program and glad of it.

Excellent gym! The membership fees are reasonable and the staff is incredible. They go out of their way to make sure your concerns are addressed. They are also very willing to participate in community oriented events.

I give this rating because it's very disappointing the feedback that I have gotten in trying to get my money back. I gave my 30 day notice to end my husband's and I membership and they still withdrew the monthly fee. I called right away explaining what had happened and since then Josh ("the owner") is too busy to not return my money nor my phone call, it's been 2 months ago and I'm still trying.

They offer sauna, classes for Zumba, and yoga, and babysitting, lots of weightlifting equipment, lots of treadmills, even a suntanning bed.

If you need a place to go workout definitely go here. Friendly staff and very knowledgeable personal trainers.

Earlier this year my debit card was changed. Yes i should have watched my payments closer. I was receiving emails about special offering Etc However there was no courtesy call or email stating my payments weren't going thru.Now am paying a large bill which could have been avoided on both ends.so please if you change cards with them make sure you go back and get it corrected.

Currently trying to get out of my membership. I can't afford it and I havent been in 6 months but I can't cancel it over the phone I have to go in. I don't have time to go to the gym to cancel it.

Love that the gym is never too packed and I have access to whatever I need but the only downfall is that when something breaks, it takes forever to get it fixed. Sauna for the women has been out for almost all summer and I enjoy going to the sauna after a workout. 😞

He never did. The salesman also never mentioned being able to try it out for free. After the no call, I visited the website for the prices again. I saw that you could try them out for free for 7 days. So, a week later I got up enough courage to try it out by myself. I walk in and ask for the trial as advertised. The saleslady and the manager said that I would only be allowed 1 day free as they were in the process of changing the policy or I could sign up then. I showed them the IMPACT FITNESS FORNEY website and were it said 7 days free trial. If it is advertised, it should be honored. The manager said there were some restrictions, but again I could work out today and then decide if I wanted to join. As I mentioned to the saleslady, I really wanted to try out the weeknight Zumba classes. How am I going to try them out if today is Saturday? I asked for my license back and walked out the door. I took over my mom's membership. They have an assortment of equipment, mostly treadmills and weights. The membership cost, however, is way overpriced for what they have/offer.

People are friendly and helpful. Additionally, I don't want to be hassled when I work out. I explained that when I joined. The staff offer personalized training once a month in the contract but don't hassle me about it when I don't take advantage of it. The gym is clean and organized.

We asked to have our memberships drafted at the same time rather than at 3 different times in the month. It created a firestorm of issues. They drafted on the wrong date and charged us for six memberships rather than three. Cost us $200 in overdraft fees. When you call the gym (Natalie), they tell you to contact ABC, their 3rd party billing. ABC tells you to call the gym. No one helps. I told them I was looking around at different gyms and that they were the first ones and they still were hounding me about getting a membership before I walked out. They convinced me that I needed a trainer but failed to tell me that the trainer is still in training herself. So I paid full price for a trainer that is practicing on me. Lesson learned. Nezt time ask how long had the trainer been in their profession. I'm ok with getting a trainee trainer but it should be less than getting trained by someone who has more experience. Less

Gym is okay, some antiquated equipment but is doable. One cable machine has not been repaired for over 7 months.... Really??? It's just a friggin' cable, fix the damn thing already!!

Impact Fitness Friday March,11,2016 (Formally GOLDS GYM) (Same Owner ,mainly same staff attitude ) I do have to admit, my initial impression ( that this gym changed its name as an attempts to separate it self from the image / reputation that golds gym is so infamous for of deceitful practice.) (Former employee) long story short , i was very disappointed as a first impression, i walk in, the gym looks the same , two(male,female) of three staff members are not exactly customer focused to say the least, no greeting or smile. i asked for assistance, the young lady prompted and directed me to fill a form on a tablet device, which was extremely Non-user-Friendly ( Not Easy to use) after waiting nearly 10 mins , A FITNESS COUNSELOR (Glorified Sales Associate) vaguely introduces him self and i introduce my self same , starts to go threw his Sales steps, I MEANT TOUR ! quick walk threw, asking some set up questions ..sorry i meant asking about my health and what are my goals and how serious i am about achieving these goals, i barely answer, he starts talking about numbers and the type of commitments and processing fees and application fees ( two separate things apparently , one of which is not listed.......in other words Hidden fees ) i simply ask for the special price they have advertised , in response i get these are the only deals we have . i spoke with a manger afterwards he seamed very nice and customer focused, and willing to honor the price, tells me it will be token care of the leaves to speak to the sales associate , who is pulling Quick One on some other potential customers... I Meant Touring the gym with them. i waited patiently for nearly 15 mins for the sales associate to finish up, thinking i am token care of. (long story short) he come back trying to sale pitch me different deal than what the manager and i discussed , i got up and left i will follow up with the chain of command manager ,even owner if necessary......... i will update review with results ) . UPDATE: MARCH,14,2016 So I spoke with the general manager Blake, I got to say, I really thought things were going to work out and the gym was going to honor its own advertisement, but I was shockingly surprised,especially of the general managers response. He has no control over it and they are promotion codes there's nothing that he could do and that hidden fees are OK and all the other gyms do it. I am beyond disappointed, definitely not going to be a customer, hopefully you won't either, I will be going right across the street to anytime fitness we're all their fees are all out in plain sight.
