Sean S. and the team at Wayne’s in Powell provided a wonderful experience for me when I needed help this week. I believe most people can agree that when going to a new mechanic, we start off with a general feeling of mistrust, worry, and fear of being taken advantage of. Instead of having to go through that expected dreaded experience, I had the rare privilege of feeling the exact opposite through the entire process. I immediately felt fully at ease, I was not judged or belittled, and they took the reins and handled things I had been worried about that I didn’t even know where to begin with. I came in because multiple dash lights were on, I was hearing grinding and a loud, low whine, and I was pretty sure I minimally needed new brakes, but had a few different issues with my wheels that I couldn’t possibly begin to diagnose. After inspection, they were completely honest with their findings. They did not try to upsell or push for any unnecessary repairs, they let me know what to watch out for in the near future, and gave me a minimum of what I should have them fix in order for me to stay safe, and a maximum of repairs/maintenance that could make sense for me for the time being. They explained everything to me that I had been feeling while driving; things that I hadn’t even mentioned when I scheduled the appointment. When I drove it off the lot after repairs were complete (which took exactly as long as they had prepared me for) it was like being in a brand new vehicle. I was astounded at the peace I felt knowing my car was safe again, with the lack of flashing dash lights, the smooth ride, and the newly-silent interior cabin. The extra guarantee they provided on their work was the icing on the cake. 10/10, will be using them exclusively in the future. Less

The work done was fine. The loss of stars is due to lack of communication. I was asked by an employee to bring my car in on a Tuesday night to be looked at "first thing" Wednesday morning. It wasn't looked at until Friday afternoon. My appointment was not honored, but they had my car, making it inconvenient to take my car to another shop. I called every afternoon and was told they were about to look at it and they'd call me right back, but never did. Once parts were ordered they said it would be done early the following week. After no communication when I expected it to be done, I had to contact them Wednesday for an update. Less

I’ve been a customer at Wayne’s for a few years now, and I’ve only ever had positive experiences. I always call in to make an appointment and am scheduled within a few days. I’ve had my share of poor experiences at other auto shops, and I am incredibly thankful and appreciative for how honest and helpful the staff at Wayne’s has been. They are upfront and honest about my car’s needs, will talk me through repairs and costs, and are always willing to explain or teach me so I can better understand my vehicle. I’ve never had a bad interaction with any of the staff (special shout out to James & Nick, who have always been more than patient, kind, and informative). It would be hard to find better service or pricing in the Columbus area, and I won’t try to find it. As long as I live in the area, Wayne’s Auto will be my go-to for my car, whether it’s a simple oil change or an extensive repair. Less

Got a car a Ricart… it was a lemon and Ricart would not even attempt to help me at all in any way shape or form. So i call waynes… they came and got my car, looked it out and called and said they think its under 100,000 mile warranty possibly. They called all the Hyundai dealers and got one to try and get it covered to help us. Honestly i have never had a repair shop be so great and try to help. They made no money off me and did so much for me to just help me while everyone else was not trying at all to even find information for me! I will now take all my fleet vehicles there and my personal vehicles! Less

Explained everything to me clearly and very knowledgeable. I’ve been to other mechanics where it has been like pulling teeth to get information about the problem or they spent the entire time trying to sell me things. NOT these guys! In fact the person I spoke to first suggested that I contact the other shop to see if there was still a standing warranty on the repairs so I’d be able to save money. Wow, wow, WOW! 10/10 for Wayne’s! These guys are miracle workers! My car was in need of serious repair. Largely due to their Service Manager, Sean, who had to deal with the madness of my 3rd party warranty company, to top notch, expedited, affordable service, and outstanding craftsmanship, I would be extremely hesitant to have my vehicles serviced anywhere else (in fact, I wouldn’t)! From ownership and senior leadership, who were heavily involved in my taxing situation, to their INCREDIBLE staff (Louie and Angel), led by Sean “The Magnificent”, it would be foolish give a second thought to even consider another auto repair shop. I found their quality of service to be second to none and they treated me, my family, and my vehicle as if it/we were their own. Wayne’s is a hidden gem and I couldn’t be more grateful knowing that in our new world of lackluster work, “Old School” mentality, service, and individual care still exists. I've been bringing all of my non-dealership owned vehicles here for maintenance for the past 5-6 years. They've never tried to upsell or overcharge me, always let me know which repairs are immediately necessary or not, and have a great staff. I’m very happy I took my car there for a second opinion because they found an issue that the dealer didn’t; even after charging me $99 for a multipoint check! We were visiting my daughter for Thanksgiving and our Check Engine light came on. Called Wayne’s to do a diagnostic and they got me right in. After diagnosing a faulty thermostat, they scheduled us for a repair right after the holiday. They fixed the problem at a very fair price and we were able to head back to Florida on schedule. They were very fair, very accommodating, and very reasonably priced. Would highly recommend! Less

I can't say enough good things about the people who works here. James, I can't say enough good things about the welcoming service you provided me. From getting me in at a seconds notice, providing me with options, making me feel like family. Guys he even offered to give me a ride home, to me this speaks for itself. Hodge the mechanic had me in and out despite he had to correct another auto shop bad work. He also made sure my car was 100% before I left that lot. Most importantly I have never spent time at a auto shop that I wasn't impatient about. James made my stay feel more like a visit to family than an auto shop. According to the service manager, Wayne's recently got a new owner. But as long as the service techs stay, I have no problem taking my vehicles back for future repairs. For the most recent repairs, I had the entire brake system (from the master cylinder, thru the lines, all the way to the wheel calipers) replaced on my car. They did great work! The courtesy inspection noted a couple of other potential issues that I was already aware of. After the brakes were done, a couple of "strange" sounds precipitated a second, more thorough inspection. The source of the sounds was found - nothing troublesome - and we were done. Overall, nice folks that care about you, your vehicle, and your safety. Give them a try! Less

I took my car here to Jason for a second opinion on some vehicle cost quoted me by another repair shop. First, Jason was really busy gave me a quote 250 less than other guy and told me the other services the other guy wanted to offer for $3000 was not needed. He even fixed a couple of other minor things at no charge without telling me but I knew he did. If you need an honest place to go and work done right at a great market price go here. The only negative is you will have to drop your vehicle off and wait a few hours or a day because they are so busy but that’s just a minor inconvenience for having a job done right at a good cost. The staff is incredibly helpful when providing assistance, and they make a point to be thorough and precise as they work. I took my car in and they were able to tell me what was wrong within 24 hours, talk me through the repairs necessary, and fix it quickly. After reading a bunch of reviews about different auto repair shops in Powell I decided to schedule an appointment with Wayne’s Auto. I took the car in for some brake work on a used car we had purchased a few months back. Wayne’s gave me a call to let me know my brakes and rotors were fine and that they didn’t hear any of the grinding or squeaks I have heard. I appreciate the truth and their confirmation that my brakes and rotors still had plenty of life left. Even though they didn’t fix anything they have earned my future business. Less

I have a 1986 Pontiac Fiero that I normally perform all repairs on myself but when it needed a new clutch, I knew that job would be too much for me. Being someone who doesn't usually go to a mechanic, I was skeptical of someone else working on the car, but Wayne's did a fantastic job with the clutch replacement and helped me diagnose a transmission problem after the repair as well. They took great care and dedication to make sure the car was done right the first time. All I can tell you is went here because of a minor exauste issue. The guy looked under the car, said it might be as much as $300 and that he would need to put it on a lift to be sure. He asked if I could leave it lol. I told him I live 5 minutes away and as soon as a bay opens up to call me and I will come right down. He took my number and I never herd from them ag as in. I heard that Waynes was good but this my true experience. Several days later I took it elsewhere and had it repaired. They got a 5 star review from me and did an awesome job. Wayne's I may try again sometime but not for exauste. If I ever go back I will update this. Less

Prior to taking my car to Wayne's I had initially brought it to Midas in Powell because it sounded as if there was an issue with one of my belts. They told me it was my alternator locking up and doing damage to my belt, that both would need replaced and would cost 687 dollars. This didn't feel right to me as I had no issues with starting the car or any electrical issues. So out of recommendation from someone I took the car to Wayne's not telling them Midas's "diagnosis" of my car. They told us it was the belt I thought it was and it was 181 dollar fix. Much cheaper than the almost 700 dollars. While there I also asked them to check the brakes because I bought the car at 35,000 miles on it and now at 77,000 I assumed the brakes had never been changed so they could have easily sold me a brake job. Instead they informed me the brakes still had half their life on them. After the repair the belt sound is gone and the car is running smoother than ever. I will return in the future, as they are both honest and fair. Less

Nobody enjoys when their car breaks down. It's inconvenient and expensive. I had already spoken to a dealership about a repair on my vehicle and had a ballpark number when a friend suggested that I call up Wayne's. I spoke to Jason on the phone, and he was incredibly personable and friendly. He didn't give me an exact number, or much of a ballpark figure, but had advised that the repairs at Wayne's typically run 15-20% cheaper than they do at the dealership. After seeing all the positive reviews on the internet, I decided to give them a shot. They had my car on a tow-truck 2 hours after I hung up the phone. The next morning the staff had called me with a few questions to better address the situation, and although they told me that I would have an exact estimate that afternoon, but they actually got it to me by lunch. Jason hit the nail on the head with the ballpark figure; the repair was 20% cheaper than what I would have paid at the dealership (the estimate had already included tax), and on top of that I didn't have to worry about buying a tow. 24 hours later I got a text message saying my repair was finished. I picked it up and the car has been running flawlessly since. I would highly recommend Wayne's to anyone, especially those who are hesitant to use smaller local shops. The service was quick, efficient, and friendly. They will have my business in the future. Less

I have been using Wayne's for over 4 years and the Service is second to none. I have multiple vehicles from vintage to brand new and I take all of them to Wayne's to be serviced. I also have a fleet vehicle that I unfortunately have to take to a dealership for service.You cant get the personal service at a dealership you get here and certainly not the savings. It's nice to know I can drop off my vehicle and get honest feedback on what needs done now and what can be done in the future. These guys are awesome. I had been taking my car to another shop and after three trips, I felt like they were breaking things and not fixing. I took my car to Wayne’s today and my concern was validated. Jason figured out the issue in minutes, fixed it, found another leak that the other company missed, worked with my warranty company, and had the car back to me same day. I first came to Wayne's in May of 2018 when my vehicle was acting very strange. I had just purchased it so I was quite irriatated. Nick jumped right on researching pricing and dealing with my very difficult warranty company. My car has since been in their shop 7 more times since then. Some were warranty covered repairs which took Nick a lot of time and effort to deal with and some out of pocket repairs. They also went out of their way to accommodate my financial situation. Nick is very understanding and makes sure we are always taken care of. I will never use any other mechanic again. They are reliable, very trustworthy, honest people. Less

I had gotten a flat tire yesterday and taken it to Goodyear to get it fixed, only to find that it was flat again the next day as I was leaving for work. I saw that Wayne’s Auto Repair had a lot of really great reviews and heard how great these guys were from some family members and boy were they right! I brought In my flat tire to get it patched again, this time to find that there was a hole the size of a bobby pin on the SIDE of the tire...meaning that I had to get a new one. Originally I was told that it would probably take until Monday to get the new tire since they didn’t have mine in stock. HOWEVER, instead of shipping it over they had one of their employees run over and get it for me! They even gave me a discount for my troubles! On the weekend of a family member's out-of-town wedding, my vehicle needed immediate- yet last minute- service in order to ensure it's safety for the travel. Honest, Great Customer Service, and prompt. I don't trust auto shops, everyone has a horror story to tell. I've taken my car four times to Wayne's Auto Repair shop. They have been straight with me every time. I know because I make sure to get second opinions, and validate the repairs. My VW Jetta 2007 is still running, and I have no complaints. The owner frequents the shop often, which to me is good. It shows that he values his shop, and his customers. Bottom line do your due diligence when selecting an Auto Repair shop. I learned about Wayne's from a mail flyer with a coupon for $99 AC recharge so I dropped my 2008 Honda Odyssey off. When they were completed they called and sent a text. During our phone discussion, Jason (the owner) shared that I needed new tires and provided me a quote. He followed up on our discussion by sending the detailed quote of different tires: makes/models with pricing. I was very satisfied with the AC recharge, but opted out of tires to do some price comparisons. After calling other shops and tire stores I called Jason and let him know the best offer I received. He did what he could to meet the lowest offer. It was a little higher but completely worth it. A) This is an independent local mechanic shop in Powell (support small business!) B) Owner is honest and nice C) Owner drove me home so I didn't have to spend a few hours on their couch D) The shop has a cool vibe, so even if you have to hang out and read a book it's good. I had an experience that didn't start out that way. I has initially thought I had been over charged. Only to find out that it was a complete misunderstanding. The owner intervened and explained everything to me and not only was I not over charged but I had actually been under charged. He even went so far as to give me a credit for my inconvenience. The first time i took a vehicle to wayne's, it was my only vehicle. I had quite the extensive repair, and it was going to take all day. I didnt have a way to get back home, so the tech that worked there at the time took me home, stayed after hours to finish my truck and came and picked me up when it was finished.. if thats not good customer service, i dont know what is! This shop isnt just another shop with a bunch of guys working in the back. These guys are friends who wont steer you in the wrong direction, and they dont BS. Affordable and VERY good work!! I have been using Wayne's Auto Service since they were at Bethel Rd./Godown. Lance has been working on my cars for many years before that. I do not buy new cars and many are quite old from auctions. Lance has always taken an interest in my safety and the fact that I need a well running vehicle. This is important since I am a single female and other repair shops would not be as concerned about me just my money. They are fast, courteous and fairly priced. I don't let just anyone work on my truck that I bought new in 2000. I have done all of my own service until I first had an oil change in 2005 by Wayne's Auto. Lance. Because of the level of customer service and professionalism. I haven't taken her (Dodge Ram SLT4x4) anywhere else. Just had them finish a complete rebuild of the top end and have to say she runs better now then the day I baught her. Not only did it need the overhaul, they did an awesome job as usual but a factory recall was fixed in the process. Needless to say I will not be going anywhere else. Love the place. Even when it was Wayne's Marathon on Bethel and Godown. I've taken every single one of my vehicles there and have had no issues. Prices are relatively cheap, and labor cost is fair for a shop that's expanding constantly. New manager Nick is friendly and nice, and the two master techs there know what they're doing. Most of the time I bring my car in, it's a last minute notice. Even if the shop is loaded, they still make at least 30-45 minutes to look over my car and explain what is needed. I'd rather pay someone to do it THE RIGHT WAY, THE FIRST TIME and not have that same issue over and over again. Also, being in the service, they have great opportunity for some discounts and work with payments. I recommend this place over a Midas or Meineke any day! Less

I've been taking my 3 cars to Wayne's for 8+ years now and have yet to have a bad experience. They have become a one stop shop for me. Whether I take them my Jag, Audi and Chevy it doesn't matter; they can repair anything I've thrown at them. Here's a kicker for you; they get it right every time. Don't waste your time with other car shops, even if it cost you a little more (it won't). I'd rather pay to have it done right the first time; than waste my time going back and forth for the same repair other shops would have screwed up. I had all intentions of leaving early this past Friday to drive home & see my family who lives 2 1/2 hours away. While at Kroger, my car decided it didn't want to start - I called around to some service centers and was told they couldn't look at my car until Monday because they were "so busy due to car's reacting to the heat". So I called Wayne - and they told me to come in right away and they would take a look at it. My car arrived in their shop at 2pm and by 6pm, I was back on the road and on my way to NW Ohio. The guys gave me outstanding service, very courteous, and my car is running great once again.
