Challenge reformer class - Another great class. As always good supprot when I needed it throughout the class. The quality of advice and guidance is top tier and explained at a level that I find understandable. This then helps me to understand my body movements more - meaning I think more outside the class on a daily basis about my posture.

Originally spoke to Lou after a hip joint problem at work, I had previously attended an osteopath to help get me mobile again but I was still in a reasonable amount of discomfort,
A 1 to 1 appointment was made to asses my condition and make a plan,
I started with a couple more 1 to 1 sessions to make myself comfortable as I suffer with a lack of confidence and anxiety,
I shouldn’t have worried,
with help and time I’m in classes and getting better all the time, stronger and more flexible,

I've been coming to Quay Movement for six months now and I’m amazed by the results. I feel so much stronger physically and mentally. After having 2 babies within 2 years, I felt weak and out of shape, but Pilates has really helped me regain strength, especially in my core, pelvic floor and hips. I have gradually and safely worked my way up to the more challenging classes, and I feel stronger with every session. I can see huge changes in my body, more muscle tone, improved flexibility, and my posture is getting better.
The best part is that it's fun and I look forward to each class. Tess is incredible, she’s so knowledgeable and gives clear, personalized instruction to ensure everyone is doing the exercises correctly, and will adapt an exercise to individual abilities especially if you are carrying an injury. I truly feel like I’m in good hands. Pilates has not only helped me physically but also given me a massive sense of accomplishment and a little “me time.” I only wish I found Quay Movement sooner!

I began reformer Pilates at Quay Movement, following a recommendation from my physio. Having worked at a desk for over 20 years, recently recovered from abdominal surgery and sustained various injuries from previous fitness attempts, a new approach was needed.
Lou, Tess and Wendy have been brilliant. I initially had a 1:1 session with Lou, who took lots of time to understand what was going on and assess my capabilities. I began in the restorative classes where all the team have adapted movements to suit me, making the classes fun and engaging, as well as being safe in the knowledge I am not going to injure myself. I’ve been attending classes twice a week for 5 weeks now, and can feel a positive difference. I have less general aches and pains and my strength is improving. The classes have also had a positive impact on my surgery recovery, helping reduce the swelling and discomfort. I look forward to attending the classes - something I never thought I’d say about exercise.
I am looking forward to reaping the continued benefits of pilates and am so thankful to have been recommended Quay Movement. If you are considering whether to join, my advice would be to go for it!

I started at Quay Movement a year and a half ago with a niggly knee and very tight hamstrings, neither of which I suffer from now (thanks Lou and Tess!). I love joining the group classes every week and find it's a great release for my shoulders, back and general self after a busy day working at a desk.
Lou and Tess are fantastic instructors, ensuring the classes are made specific to those attending, are challenging and good fun. It's been great to get to know others attending the classes too - it's a very friendly environment.
I would highly recommend Quay Movement.

My husband and benefit enormously from our regular reformer Pilates sessions at Quay Movement with Lou and Tess. Both ladies are so good at responding to our needs and tune our exercise regime around how we are each week. They carefully guide us to get the most from each exercise (and stop us cheating!). As we age, it’s so important to us that we can protect our health and our mobility so we can do the things we want to do. Can’t recommend Quay Movement highly enough - the studio is a lovely space and the teachers are brilliant.

I came to Quay Movement on the recommendation of my Osteopath. Years of chronic back pain and struggling to do the things I used to do I looked to something new.. Reformer Pilates. Wow ! What a great set up. Lou and Tessa are great instructors, very knowledgeable and patient and fun.
The small classes are set for different abilities and after just a few short months I am already gaining more flexibility, strength and confidence. Loving the classes and I cannot recommend Lou and Quay Movement highly enough.

I first came to Quay movement about a year ago with badly deformed legs. I had one to one sessions for a few months which stopped my deformity from getting worse and kept me mobile. After 2 knee replacements I was back and now attend classes. Quay movement has made the hugest difference to my quality of life, I now have straight, strong legs and feel like myself again. The classes are fun, challenging but always full of laughter while pushing you. Lou and Tess are great, full of personality and make classes entertaining even if Tess’s ability to count leaves a lot to be desired 😂
I would highly recommend Quay movement to everyone, whether you are struggling with something or fully fit. This place has changed my life (and my legs) and I am eternally grateful for it.

10/10 would recommend Pilates with Quay Movement. The instructors guide us through a wide range of movements and are experts at pinpointing areas where our bodies need the most attention, so we can focus on those areas and get the most benefit from each class. I have gained flexibility, balance, strength, confidence, and am feeling much more in tune with my body. I’m so glad I started and have no plans to stop.
