Hired to have them redo trim a long top of screened in porch and to reattach a wood shelf that had fallen off the side of the porch. The quote did not include the cost of reattaching the wood despite my clear request to have it included in the work. Before signing the quote to approve the work, I was told by Mr. Salam (text messages available to prove conversation occurred) that the wood would be reattached as part of the work. When the workers arrived they were unaware and unprepared to complete the whole job and made a very poor effort at attaching the piece of wood. The trim at the top of the porch was done well overall with quick return to fix issues that arose. Using a scrap piece of particle board that they didn't even bother to cut cleanly with a saw to attach the board was NOT what I had in mind when I hired this company. I have tried to text and call Mr. Salam to no avail. I called the company and discussed the issue that I wasn't being communicated with by the project manager. I still have not received a call or text about when the project will be completed. They were quick to reply before payment was made, Mr. Salam requested that I pay so they could pay their workers and he stated (again via text) that they would complete the work even after I paid. Once the payment was made, communication ended.

Klappenberger and Son was an excellent group to work with. They painted our entire second floor and most of our first floor with a tall foyer area. The team was professional, quick but also with great quality. I’d highly recommend them for painting, drywall repair and other projects.

Salam and his crew did a wonderful job installing a storm door for us! He was very responsive and flexible as we had to wait for the door itself to come in. We had an unusual door situation but they made sure it fit snuggly and we love it. It was also far more reasonably priced compared to having it installed from Lowes directly.
