I have worked with both Dr. Rebecca and Dr. Matt to help resolve my nagging lower back, hip and glute pain which was negatively impacting my F45 and yoga workouts. As a 64-year-old female, fitness is very important to my mental and physical well-being. I am feeling much better and stronger now. The sessions are great workouts, and the app helps me stay on track between sessions. Highly recommend!

From the start, issues with urgency quickly resolved and now I also no longer worry about leakage from sneezing or coughing; and I can enjoy hiking and other outings without worrying about being too far from a restroom. I learned exercises and techniques for tightening muscles that need it, as well as stretching and easing muscles that need those - kegels for sure, but many more exercises that help. We cannot thank you enough! Dr. Matt and Dr. Rebecca helped my son recover fully after a soccer ACL injury, and he came back even stronger. She also helped me understand the importance of activating my core during any physical exercise and everyday lifting and how to do so correctly, which in turn has helped reduce my previously-pretty regular back pain. Additionally, she worked with me on pelvic floor strengthening which has resolved some common postpartum issues I was experiencing. This was truly a valuable investment of time and work. The discomfort and pelvic pain I was having was making life pretty miserable. I was not in the best head space when I first met Veronica but she put me at ease. She made me feel absolutely not crazy for how I was feeling. She reassured me there was in fact something going on. I stopped going to PT after my symptoms improved, but then found her again after she and Matt opened up Alpha Project and my symptoms had come back. It was 100% worth the drive to start up sessions again. She again put me at ease, communicated every detail with me, never pressured, taught me tons of exercises, encouraged me to keep at it and most importantly to pay attention to my body so I can properly relax muscles so that I could start working out safely again. (The workouts I was doing before seeing Veronica were only making symptoms worse.) Pelvic PT can feel kind of scary. I am 25 years old and have been dealing with the same chronic ankle injury since I was 19 from Division 1 sports. All of the PT and rehab I was given never felt like it actually addressed the issue and instead contributed to more compensatory movement patterns. I have been in and out of physical therapy for the last 6 years and will feel better for a short time and then have the same or a new issue arise. It's exhausting and so defeating and has really damaged my relationship with movement-- something that was such an integral part of my life. I am so hyperaware of these compensatory patterns and have tried to explain to previous PTs something still doesn't feel "right" despite testing being "within normal limits." I really mean it when I say Matt has been a Godsend as well as the mission of Alpha Project Phyzio. I wanted someone who was going to actually watch my movement patterns and help me relearn how to engage muscles correctly again, and LISTEN when something isn't feeling right and digs deeper. I have made so much progress mentally and physically in just the 5 sessions I have had with Matt so far, and those "lightbulb" moments are priceless for me. We found out my shoulder stabilizers are weak and my rotator cuff is not nearly as strong as it should be. We did a lot of mobility, strengthening, and movement work to get my shoulder feeling better. I wasn’t sure how fast I’d be feeling better, and I started feeling better after the first session. After 2 months I’m back to snatching, lifting, and moving the way I want to. I’m feeling so MUCH better. This was nothing like the physical therapy I had been to before. He did great explaining where I was on the road to staying pain free on my own without having to constantly come back to PT. He listens to all my concerns and thoroughly answers all my questions. Great energy and is always ready to meet you where you are, but give a little push if necessary. No tears were ever shed. I started therapy due to right knee pain which started limiting my activities . The sessions were challenging at first but as they progressed I felt stronger and had less knee pain. One of the BEST PT places I’ve ever been to! I have been a competitive athlete all of my life. Past 8 years have been a CrossFitter and GORucker. I have numerous injuries during my competitive years through adulthood and on occasion needed traditional PT. Unfortunately, I’ve had a problematic knee, tried cortisone shots and some regular PT but issues continued. Heard about a hip and injury prevention session that my CrossFit coach was holding and decided to go and learn any techniques that could help my hip that was injured a few years prior and has given me grief every so often. That’s when I met Dr. Matt. I was skeptical that I’d gain any relief, but willing to listen. We each introduced ourselves and shared what parts of our body has been injured or hurting that we needed some helpful tips to get relief. I shared that I had a lot of layered injuries over the course of 30 years and had plenty of PT, but intrigued to see what Dr. Matt could suggest that might be beneficial. In my mind, I had my doubts, went through a few stretching movements he suggested for my knee & hip to even do a partial squat. He started with seeing me do a squat then gave me a stretch to do then asked me to squat again. Repeated 2-3 times with the recommended stretching techniques and within 5 min or less was able to successfully squat all the way to the ground. I was shocked beyond words! My team and coach were my witnesses. I literally have been struggling with so much pain, icing, stretching, medication, joint gel, elevation, knee support sleeve, pain in my hip that I figured I’ll just have to deal with … blah, blah, blah. I could not believe the relief I felt in that moment and welled up with tears. I had some great takeaways from the seminar including Dr. Matt’s info. I continued to do the stretches every day and was surprised that I had no pain, no stiffness, my knee was more flexible and I could actually walk up and down stairs without any problems or having to hold onto a railing to alleviate pressure on the knee. I can’t say enough positive things about Alpha Project Phyzio and Matt Silver’s methods. I was referred to them at a local run shop when I was discussing my IT Band Syndrome. Before going to Matt, I was seeing traditional PT and was making little progress. I was being told that I should think about injections and possibly surgery to deal with the pain. I can’t say enough positive things about Alpha Project Phyzio and Matt Silver’s methods. I was referred to them at a local run shop when I was discussing my IT Band Syndrome. Before going to Matt, I was seeing traditional PT and was making little progress. I was being told that I should think about injections and possibly surgery to deal with the pain. When we spoke on the phone and I visited Matt, I will admit that I was skeptical at first as I was unable to run more than 3-4 miles without excruciating pain. Matt and I discussed a plan and my goals. He assessed everything! Things that I did not think were a concern, he noticed and treated. The “appointments” are more like an hour long workout where you learn how to target different trouble spots and how to increase your mobility. After 4 sessions I completed a half-marathon relatively pain free. It was no PR (7:47/mile), but I was shocked at the progress I made. Two weeks later, I completed a full marathon without serious IT band issues. I would highly recommend Matt to anyone serious about overcoming injuries and wanting to get back to their activities in a way that does not involve drugs, injections, or surgery. I had been struggling with tendonitis and shin splints for a couple of years and had some success with other PT providers but eventually the symptoms returned. I decided to try Dr. Matt at Alpha Project after meeting him during one of his gait analysis clinics at Charm City Run. His approach to my treatment was different because he studied my running form and discovered the reason why my symptoms return frequently. Through the use of different muscle strengthening exercises and form drills I have slowly developed a new technique that is helping me to be pain free. Some of the drills I had never heard of or seen before but proved to be what I needed to succeed. The two biggest benefits I have found for Alpha Project is that the entire hour of my appointment is devoted to me and Dr. Matt. He does not share appointment times with 2-3 patients and devotes the entire hour and attention to you. He does the workouts with you to show proper form. The second benefit is that I know I will never receive a bill from my insurance. He is out of network so the treatments are more costly but I know that once I pay for the treatment plan that is all I have to spend, no more surprise bill in the mail from insurance. Great sessions in a relaxed environment. I had issues with tightness in hips and heal pains in my foot was diagnosed quickly, and we started to address the issues in the initial session. Overall I see progress in multiple barbell movements, walking and less pain. The delivery of the at home exercises via the app is nice feature to ensure proper form while stretching.

I've always been active, but since starting CrossFit have been pushing my body in ways I haven't in years - which led to all of the injuries I ignored over the years pushing their way to the forefront. I met Dr. Matt Silver at a workshop where he quickly showed the group ways to improve our hip mobility - and decided in that moment it was worth seeing what he could do with the challenges I was having with my ankle, knee and shoulder. And I'm so glad that I did - his approach is refreshing as it is constantly evaluating the progress we are making and assigning each exercise to make sure it is appropriate for what our goal. In the past when I've gone to physical therapy after my knee surgeries it has been a one-size fits all approach - but with Dr. Silver he is constantly evaluating where you are experiencing pain and tightness and providing new ways to work on it. Three months later there was minimal improvement. I decided to stop wasting my time and money and work through the pain. After about a month, the pain and limited range of motion became overwhelming. Around this time, our gym had invited Dr. Matthew Silver in for a mobility session. The session was amazing. I decided to see what he could do for my shoulder. I began to work with Dr. Silver once a week at his office in Germantown. The sessions were incredible. Unlike previous PT facilities I have attended, Dr. Silver would re-evaluate your pain and mobility after every few exercises in order to make in-session course corrections to target the underlying condition(s). This process quickly identified multiple issues with my shoulder. The exercises he assigned targeted the troubled areas and I saw immediate benefits. This confirmed that we were on the right path. After working with Dr. Silver for 8 weeks, I am now able to do overhead exercises, including kipping motions, with minimal pain. Each week the pain appears to lessen as my strength increases. I just finished my second marathon and sensed that PT would be a smart way to evaluate my fitness and provide sustained health towards my ambitious running goals. It turns out that I really needed PT due to overtraining after the October marathon. I started PT with right knee soreness as my primary issue. I'd been dealing with mild right knee soreness but it was now worse causing stress and some discomfort on runs to the point where I actually I had to pull out of a scheduled half marathon race. Matt quickly assessed my situation and overall fitness through a consultation as we started PT. What attracted me Alpha Project is that they cater towards runners and the serious athlete. It's important to me that my PT instinctively understands runners and their injuries/concerns. He gave me the confidence to continue mindfully running as we worked through sessions. Matt's style is very friendly and personable. He's very flexible schedule-wise and ensures you're getting the required attention to detail needed with each session. He also instinctively pushes you physically according to your fitness level. You want your PT to have the same commitment to hard work and excellence as you do.
