I have spent a week deciding whether or not I wanted to put this review, but I genuinely believe it's my obligation to warn my fellow hypermobile and EDS zebras to PLEASE AVOID THIS PRACTICE. The staff are kind and friendly and dr. Heiser always wears a smile. He smiled during my first appointment and before letting me finish articulating my situation and all my comorbidities and all my image-proven body fluctuations, he said that hypermobility was a "mental label"... while smiling. He then said he could "cure" it. He claims he cured it with 10 other patients. For those of you who know EDS. Its a GENETIC DEFECT. It cannot be cured - unless he found a way to remove all my collagen and put back working collagen. Despite this first interaction, I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and let him try. The first adjustment he made caused a Shockwave through my entire body - it wasn't pleasant. I asked him to be gentler and he was. But the problem is his adjustments focused on popping my spine and everyone familiar with EDS knows these hard and fast adjustments are cruel on our body. However my back pain did go away so I kept seeing him. He insisted I come in three times a week. Every day I went in he repeatedly said "I will cure you." But he wasn't listening to the things I was telling him. After 3 appointments... a new pain started in my neck. I mentioned this to him twice in different appointments but he didn't respond. He just kept performing the same "resets" on my body. Everything he told me at every appointment directly went against everything my specialists have been telling me. I spoke with my PT who confirmed that 3 adjustments a week is too violent for my body as well as his methods. Then my final appointment. I should have walked out, I should have stopped going before then. I get on the table as usual and out of nowhere he starts asking about my childhood. Makes me talk about the divorce my parents went through and how hard it was on me. He then says, very seriously, "i think instability in your childhood is why your body won't hold itself together." Baffled I immediately rejected with, "no it's because my connective tissue is elastic from having a Connective Tissue Disorder." He responded with "Oh yeah, right." LIKE HE FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT FACT ABOUT MY BODY. At that point I was uncomfortable and should have left. He went to start pressing on my 6 trigger points and I finally notice that he doesn't put the same amount of pressure on each one. He really dug in on #4 and supposedly I'm supposed to tell him if it hurts or not. He didn't give me a chance to answer and goes "okay you're tender here." "Well-" "I'll go ahead and adjust -" "STOP. It doesn't hurt! That one is not tender!?" "Oh, okay." For context, #4 is digestion i guess? He adjusted it several times over my appointments and it has honestly caused way more harm than good. My digestion has been awful and my appetite is out of control. I was happily finally starting to lose weight and since seeing him I cant stop eating. It wasn't what I wanted but he wasn't listening to me. And now I'm posting this from my bed after having to take several days off work because he's thrown my body into an awful flare. My neck pain has gotten so bad that I can't lift my head to accomplish anything. Within days my back pain returned but much worse than it was. I regret going to these appointments and should have listened to my gut (literally). If you have a normal functioning body, he's probably great. But for those of you with CTDs, please go somewhere else. He does not acknowledge thr complications it has on our bodies. Less

Absolutely the best! I’ve spent years in pain and was told by Doctors that I had to have injections in my spine and possibly surgery, after just one visit I felt more relief than I had in years! He saved my life! Less

Heiser does not listen. I went in and asked for acupuncture, and instead he makes a few simple little moves to my back which did not do any good. The doctor then tried to make me promise that I would keep coming back. Yeah that's about right as if you will put it in writing that you will guarantee to fix my back, and if not then you would give me my money back. In that case I will keep coming back. Less

Dr Heiser is my miracle worker ♥️ I was suppose to have ankle replacement. I wore a brace 24/7. It's in the trash. With Dr Heiser's treatment my ankle grew strong. I am able to climb stairs, squat, crawl etc... Health conditions I thought were lifelong like migraines, sciatica, IBS. Dr Heiser's treatments fixed these permanently! He is my miracle worker! Less
