During the initial consultation: Dr. Mike did a complete evaluation of my current injury, injury history, and most importantly- my goals post injury. He then performed a full body movement screen, followed by an assessment of key muscles and joints that may be involved in the injury. Once this was completed, he performed a series of adjustments and manual therapy. The first treatment I received immediately relieved pain during my squatting moments after struggling for months to even pick up my laundry. I came here after seeing a few other physical therapist about shoulder pain with no improvement. My experience here was far beyond what I had experienced with other clinics and more than I expected. During the first visit I had my initial exam for my shoulder and was asked if I had pain anywhere else. I had been dealing with sciatica for a few months and told the doctor that not expecting him to treat it since I was there for my shoulder and the other clinics I had gone to would only address one issue at a time. The doctor did a quick examination of my hips and notice they had rotated, put them back in place, and I had immediate relief and an improvement in mobility. After that we started working on my shoulder. He did some dry needling as well as a few other things and my pain was reduced significantly. My mother always reminded me to hold up my shoulders. WELL, this was a wake up to maintain good posture and strengthening of muscles associated with proper posture. So much so, my trainer has incorporated several of the exercises Dr. Sardo wanted me to do in to my training. My trainer has even commented on my posture has improved dramatically.
