I finally stopped! Boy, I’m glad I did! It’s a fun place. I stopped for a bit of fudge to try and bought more than I intended. Who can choose one type of fudge? Not me! I also bought a pound of a peanut butter chocolate candy? Bark? I bought it for my husband. I’m super picky about peanut butter sweets. It is going to be Hatfields versus the McCoys when we get to the last bit of that! It is beyond delicious! Of course I snagged a Missouri The Show me State t-shirt! This Mississippi girl is proud of her adopted home state. Stop, buy candy/fudge. You will not regret it!

There’s something for everyone. And a plus are the tidy bathrooms. Nice to see this longtime institution is in such good hands.

After passing Ozarkland Village a few times on my way from Springfield to Joplin, I finally decided to stop and have a look. I'm glad I did! It has everything one can imagine and all sorts of souvenirs. Nothing is overpriced, which is odd for a place that targets travelers and tourists. I needed to kill some time while waiting for check-in time at my hotel in Joplin, and I had a lot of fun going through the shop. I interacted with only one employee there, and she was really nice. I'll definitely stop by there again on my next trip up there.
