The base studio and their team do an excellent job in not only teaching the kids dancing moves but also giving each individual such as my son Freddy to feel comfortable within the tribe and also the confidence to express himself. My 5 year old thoroughly enjoys the Ninja and the Hip hop classes. Teachers are very energetic and good with moves. We can watch our kids on the CCTV from outside which is helpful for a parent to understand the routine and progress.

The base team are fantastic! My daughter has gone from strength to strength and always feels at home within the Base 181 community. I personally notice that kids & staff always have smiles on their faces and love it so much, my daughter has also attended school holidays camps which she loves too. Highly recommend!

The fabulous, safe, nurturing and loving environment Samson and Chantal have created is something that doesn't come with the average dance school. These guys are the absolute best! Our daughter has thrived so much since starting over a year ago. 3 classes a week and she wishes she could go daily!

There is no place that feels more like home to her than Base and no place she would rather be for her birthday than Base 181. She has such a unique personality and sense of style and it can be challenging to fit into the more mainstream expectations, style and 'the way things are done'. Often with childrens sport and activities (not to mention school) the mantra seems to be conform, or find something else. It's very rare to find a place that not only celebrates the value of individual style and perspective, but truly values and embraces it. As a family, we truly believe that celebrating our differences is a way to a better, more empathetic world but it is so rare to find a place that embodies it so wholeheartedly and role models that to a new generation that are so eager to soak in new experiences. Chantal and Samson, you radiate joy and happiness that cascades throughout the studio. I have never met people with such genuine character and positivity and that clearly shapes every element of the Base 181 experience. Every single element of the studio makes each student feel individual, unique and above all, important and valued. The pillars of 'community, connection and confidence' are not just words but lived every day and having real impact on lives every single day. It is clearly cascaded through the staff. Every single time she attends a lesson, she comes back BEAMING and those values are quite clearly integrated in the program and imbued in those you choose to lead your classes and programs. There is quite literally no other program, in many, many years of childrens sport, where I've seen kids walk out feeling AWESOME at the end of every single lesson. You uplift their lives by your belief in them and by the environment you create where every child is amazing for something - even if it might not be recognised in a more mainstream environment. We didn't specify any requirements for C in choosing where her party was, but there was unequivocally no choice for her - it was ALWAYS going to be a Base party. And of course, this makes sense - how could you possibly go anywhere else when there is a place that just makes you feel SO good about yourself, and how could you miss the opportunity to share that with your closest friends?! There isn't a single child who attended the party that didn't comment that it was awesome or THE BEST! Cooper and Lily obviously deserve a special mention here. Equally from the perspective of parent-host it was THE BEST! I didn't quite know what to do with myself it was so well hosted and that's obviously also the best thing ever. How you all have energy for that many kids, for that period of time, escapes me but again I think it reflects the values of the studio and what you set from the top. You made it so easy and seamless and most of all, fun! There was not a detail left to chance and the organisation was phenomenal. The games and activities? Well, I think you need to look no further than the huge smiles on the kids faces! There's no words that can really express how grateful we are that the Base 181 experience is shaping our little people as they become bigger people. You're fun, you're effervescent and with unlimited energy, but we all acutely feel that bigger connection to purpose. If a tiny bit of the Base-vibe rubs off on each student and family the world is an immeasurably better place. And just in case it wasn't clear - there's no better party than a Base 181 party! Less
