My daughter started many years ago Hicks karate and never regret. She is always want to come in every single lesson as well to help other students. She never lost motivation and keen to learn new skills. I highly recommend this club to everyone who is interested in martial arts.

My little boy joined aged 3 and has grown up with the team. Now 6, and still enjoys the activity and support offered by the staff. Wrap around activities are great including cover over the school holidays.

Coming back after having a baby and I found the school was flexible with days I can do to work around child care. Was nervous on my first session back but the whole team made me feel welcomed and liked I never left I highly recommend any new mums to come join to help lose the baby weight and build confidence in yourself again.

We visited Hicks Family Martial Arts School as our daughter wanted to try karate. She was nervous on her first day, but the team at Hicks made her feel incredibly welcome and at ease. She now goes at least twice a week and is making incredible progress, not only in working her way through the belts, but also in her confidence, agility, and determination. Highly recommended!

Perfect place for Karate lessons. You can feel that kids been look after. Little family, coaches are very supportive. Prices - reasonable. I like the fact, that we can change day if we cannot attend choosen one. Camps during half term or summer time very helpfull for working parents.

Brilliant place both me and my 4 year old daughter attend classes here. The staff are brilliant and take time to teach the students my little girl has been going 18 months and grown so much in confidence in that time. Could not recommend more.

Daughter absolutely loves going every week and has achieved so much since starting not just karate moves but confidence and behaviour has changed too. So pleased we found Hicks Karate 🙂

Fantastic place to take your children. They work so hard with the children to focus and be the best they can be. You become extended family, everyone spurs each other on to get where they need to be. Lovely atmosphere for toddlers,children and adults. The sitting area has tea coffee and hot chocolate and treats while you wait.

The instructors are all brilliant and passionate about what they do, they have a lot of experience and qualifications/achievements in their sport. My kids have thrived here, both have competed nationally and internationally, with my eldest taking on a coaching role at lots of events, and both involved in a leadership program, helping out in beginner classes. One of the main things that impresses me about this club is the efforts to keep teenagers engaged. As a parent of a teen I know how hard it is to keep them them motivated but at Hicks they are given more responsibility, encouragement and the opportunity to boost their skill set. It is a very athletic club with multiple events and classes everyday for different groups. The teacher is funny , nice helpful and is good for support and also have some people which disability s .I would definitely recommend it to you and also you get a free t- shirt.

Amazing dojo. Family run business and made to feel part of that family very quickly. My children thrive here, my oldest in particular, he is 10. Absolutely worth giving it a shot, adults and children love coming here. Don't hesitate, have a go. You may find what makes you shine 🌟

My little girl (3.5yr) went for her free trial. She did 2 weeks of 2 classes a week and she loved it so much she asks me everyday if she can go to karate! They are so skilled with the tiny ones, they all look like they are enjoying themselves. I love that u can watch on the screens too. Safe to say she signed up and goes every week now. Brilliant!

All our family train here; lovely environment with a great atmosphere, an approachable, friendly place for children and adults of all abilities, and a nice area for parents to watch, chat and have a cuppa together when juniors are exercising and learning!

Friendly atmosphere, family feel, great approach to children, made to feel comfortable from our very first visit. Got to say it's family run school and the help from all the family has been second to none with advise on the correct equipment needed to the brilliant non nonsense but very friendly training given to our daughter. She loves it.
