I was never really into the idea of joining a gym. I tried doing bits at home over the years but never stuck with it, and slowly started putting on weight and picking up injuries. Between a physical woodworking job, a young family, and trying to keep up with surfing and mountain biking, my body was definitely feeling it. After two inguinal hernias in two years, I knew I needed to change something.I joined Bam eight weeks after open hernia surgery once my surgeon gave me the all clear. Ben guided me carefully through recovery and training, building strength I didn’t even know I had while constantly checking in on how my body was responding. Just three months later, I feel stronger, fitter, lighter, and more resilient than ever.Bam has given me exactly what I was missing: expert coaching, a balanced and creative training approach, and a genuinely supportive community.
