I met Chris from Built Different Construction almost out of desperation. I was in the middle of my "dream project", a really fancy high end theater I had invest tens of thousands of dollars in equipment but hired a company that allegedly specialized in theaters, which I found out wasn't very accurate. Enter Built Different Construction. The first thing I will tell you about them (which is my single favourite item), is that Chris doesn't seem to have the word "no" in his vocabulary. Anytime I would ask him if he could do something, the answer started with some careful contemplation and ended with a "yes, we can do that". He's also super-transparent. There is no smoke and mirrors with this company. He will give you drawings and a black and white quote on paper and a timeline. There are NO tricks with these guys. What you see is what you get. The second item worth discussing is how they maintain their work environment. I have done home renos more times than I can remember and in all of my years, I've NEVER come across a construction company that leaves your home, as clean as it was before they started. Chris has invested in some ridiculous air cleaning equipment and high powered vacuums and they leave your place pristine. When you get to know the owner of the company, you'll understand that he's a family guy and those values show up in his work product. Third... the quality of the workmanship is second to none. These guys are perfectionists. Whether it's building you a theater riser with recessed stairs (see pictures attached), painting, laying electrical conduit or even putting up wallpaper... everything is done with such care and precision, you'd think they were working in their own homes. Their workmanship is impeccable. However, these guys are not just home theater experts, they also built me an amazing concession area and arcade and now we are working on the details of my next project which will be an entire outdoor kitchen area and pool. Built Different Construction will be the "go to" construction company for ANY project I have in the future. Whether I ever plan to to my kitchen or bathroom, Chirs and Mike will be my guys. Truly, I can only tell you how thankful I am that I met these guys because they rescued my project and now we enjoy the most amazing family movie nights and my kids gather at our house with their friends to enjoy the theater and arcade as well.
