I originally went to Dr. Golbek a few years ago and had great success. But, after a 5th baby and getting back into running, some hip pain that had been better was much worse. So, now, I just have to give an update: I ran for the first time in my Altra Trail running shoes instead of my barefoot running shoes - over a mile at a 7:10 pace, plus four, 200m sprints. And I didn't have ANY left hip pain or weakness at all. It's been 4 years since the pain originally started. Got better a few years ago. But after my 5th pregnancy and weak muscles, it was there again. Now, after months of the consistent hip stretches from Dr. Golbek, plus a few office visits and adjustments, rehab moves - Bulgarian split squats 3x a week as well as just general lower body strength, it's gone. I'm so excited to see it so much better that I had to share. Before the work the past few months, a 1/4 mile in shoes with any kind of sole would have made my hip feel almost impossible to run.
