I remember going to school with multiple patches of salonpas on my back and nape. My back pain really reached its peak after I gave birth, my back,neck and joints were in pain and I would have occasional bouts of headache. The pain made me really cry and felt helpless. I felt physically drained and weak. I had a great deal of trouble falling asleep too. No matter how tired I am I still had a hard time falling asleep or I easily get awake. I was just really exhausted most of the time. By chance, I was chatting with Doc Miguel's wife and she mentioned that he was opening a clinic here in Alabang, that is how I was able to find out about N8 Upper Cervical Chiropractic. I was used to the painful physiotherapy I used to have before to "alleviate" my back pain. So my initial expectation for the treatment was the twisting and cracking that we normally see. It was the complete opposite, it was very gently yet extremely effective. After my first visit I felt very sleepy, it was my body beginning to heal itself naturally. What a great relief it was. Going for a monthly visit to N8 and being more mindful of my posture has really helped me in maintaining a pain free life. The whole staff is very accommodating and the doctor is very knowledgeable in the field. I heard about this clinic from the friend of my daughter who was going to the Alabang clinic for her scoliosis. Dr. Mike Flores was the one who interviewed me and took an X-ray of my Atlas (the top bone on your neck). The overall concept of the clinic is that if your Atlas is misaligned, it affects not only your bones but your organs as well. Dr. Mike was able to help me align my Atlas over 12 sessions and the pain from my lower back has gone. When I was young I used to go to a local bonesetter who would crack my bones into place but Dr. Mike was very scientific and gentle but firm with the tools he used on me. My experience with chronic pain started in late 2010 with a feeling of heaviness in the left shoulder, severe aches in the lower back and a terrible stiff neck. There were weird tingling sensation, shooting pain and numbness in my arms and legs the following year. I asked to be excused from work and thought of getting some rest will leave the pain off. The orthopedist which I first visited, referred me to a physiatrist believing she could help. This is where I learned about CFS. Series of PT sessions and exercises, pain reliever and supplements were prescribed and yes, the discomfort gradually decreased for quite some time. Months passed. Pain recurred making me weak and unproductive at work. I went back to the same pain management physician and repeated the whole procedure, however, this did not alleviate the discomfort I was experiencing. Years passed. The agony worsened as I have observed that there were also changes in my body, then was diagnosed with fibromyalgia by a neurologist in 2013.
