I take Advance Beginner Level 2. I Really enjoy the classes at Joel Salsa NYC. All the instructors explain, give tips and demonstrate so everyone understands the techniques and follow while having fun. It’s great to see how the leaders have improved their dancing skills under the instructors guidance. Can’t wait for the next session. Highly recommend to anyone who wants to dance with feeling to come and take the classes and workshops at Joel Salsa NYC.

I have been taking classes here for 4 months. The staff is very welcoming, the instructors very knowledgeable and friendly. They really care about students learning the steps. I look forward to continuing my dance adventure here.

Teachers are great! They set a good learning pace so that beginners feel comfortable and intermediates can finesse their steps and challenge themselves too!

so fun! their instructions were super clear, they take their time explaining and answering questions. they have a formula for the steps but also will break them down and show you often, to help you remember. the partner work was the part that seemed the most intimidating to me, but that’s truly when all the steps come together into a dance. they make it easier by rotating partners so if you’re new and signed up alone, you’ll have the chance to dance and learn with everyone.

I’ve been taking salsa classes at Joel Salsa NYC for 15 months, and it’s truly the best salsa school! The location in Koreatown is super convenient, near the Training Station and lots of great Korean restaurants. The owners, Joel and Maria, are also the teachers, and they teach with so much patience and a really well-structured system. The studio has amazing vibes, and every class is a joy. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
