I love this gym! I came in to get back into fitness after being stagnant for years, and they were so welcoming. The coaches are all friendly and helpful. They have foundations classes to teach beginners everything they need to know before going into classes. Every workout can be modified to your individual level, whether that’s beginner or advanced. I love the system for reserving class spots and being able to see what your workout will be for the day. There’s a lot of equipment and space and everything is always clean. The staff is wonderful! They are very friendly and super helpful. Sarah and Mandy are great mentors for starting out. I can’t wait to get back into it!

Just started going back to the gym after a while. The coaches are fantastic and so are the members I've meet so far. I like the programming a lot and the scaled versions or modifications are perfect to accommodate different skill levels and injuries. So glad we came to the Darkside!

CrossFit Darkside is a great place to work out regardless of your fitness level. The coaches are knowledgeable, encouraging, and eager to help you reach your goals. The members are welcoming and supportive. I’ve made great progress since I joined the Darkside community, and it’s been awesome to watch my son gain confidence and strength during his personal training sessions with Darkside too.

I dropped in at CrossFit Dark Side for a couple of days while in town for work. Sarah the owner/coach was awesome who knows how to coach and you can really tell she cares about the gym and the community. I felt very welcome, the programming was great, and worth visiting.

best.box.ever. Due to being a military spouse, I have been a member of multiple gyms and visited many others. CF Darkside far outweighs the others. I can’t say enough amazing things about what Sarah and Mandy and all the coaches have created for our community. This is probably one of the most welcoming environments I have been apart of, let alone a gym.

This community is so amazing. It’s changed my perspective on my own fitness and I have seen myself grow so much not only physically, but also mentally. The coaches are all amazing and approachable. The members are very friendly and fun. The 9am class is probably the best one ever, just sayin.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at CrossFit Dark Side. Everyone, coaches and other members, has been very supportive, helpful and encouraging. It is like having another family. I have joined other gyms and workout facilities, but none have made it so compelling to go each day, especially when you consider strenuous and intense the workouts can be.

Dark Side has an incredible team of coaches with an excellent community composed of CrossFitters from ALL walks of life. I love the welcoming atmosphere and fantastic programming to help me meet my fitness goals.

I didn’t think I would have actually improved, but years later, I’m still here and still seeing more and more results. It’s the best workout you could get, and all the coaches are so great at boosting confidence, and making everyone feel welcome.

This place is one of the best CrossFit places in El Cajon. The coaches care about your fitness and make sure you feel safe and encouraged. A lot of mobility issues I had really did improve here! There is a lot of equipment and the classes are structured and detailed. You feel like family here! 💛

Dropped in here from NY and got my moneys worth with a good workout and met some very friendly and welcoming people. Cannot recommend this place enough to anyone who's interested in working out in a friendly environment. Can't wait to go back next time I'm out here.

I am so incredibly priviledged to have an amazing coach and friend Vic Mcquaide co-owner of the new amazing CrossFit Dark Side gym. Vic, has been my friend for over 7 years, he has won many State Crossfit Competitions and always has my best interest at heart with my health. Recently Vic has spent his time with me coaching me once a week on Wednesday nights this includes rowing for an hour/ hour 15minutes a time, various stretching exercises, most importantly helping me and two other people with a healthy low carb nutrition. In addition he helps the members stay connected by setting achievable goals. In just 6 weeks, I have lost 20 pounds!!!!! Vic, really knows what he is doing. A really cool component he will have is for those who have never done Crossfit, who have problems with eating, who are overweight, also those who have back issues. Recently at the gym I was by myself I didn't know what I was doing I was lifting all these weights and hurt my lower back, I went to Vic and he showed me some stretching exercises, and immediately felt better.
