Want to train in martial arts, polish your jiu-jitsu, or find a prime location to enroll your kid? This gym offers a strong curriculum and a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition team, with select fighters prepping for tournaments in mixed martial arts or other disciplines. Classes in Muay Thai, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Judo, and wrestling provide a base for self-defense situations and sport fighting alike. The nutshell: It is especially great here for veterans, heavyweight men, wrestlers, and kickboxers, but they have a range of members. For interested BJJ practitioners, stop by to pick up the kimura trap system, leglocks, Sumi gaeshi, and catch wrestling. The kids program includes coaching for personal development, so it's not all about fighting. They are safe to train with if you are LGBTQ+; in fact, I would highly recommend this place. If you are an HR representative, however, you will need to sign an additional waiver to attend the adult classes. (No, really). The mat space was recently expanded, and you will find it is a growing gym with a unique culture. They are currently needing new members and would welcome newbies of all kinds, whether you are a hobbyist or a serious competitor. My favorite highlight? That black belt Hareesh, he'll slaughter you! (I'm told he's not at level black just yet, but you have been warned.) I was also fond of the head coach guiding me through moves when I was lost. I'm a slow learner, which can be misconstrued for not being worth the effort to coach, so patience is appreciated.
