Yeah, i had tried gym memberships a couple times before, but i had no clue what i was doing, what i should be doing or how! June 2021 my wife says she wants to join a gym “ok, i’m in” I had no idea what i was getting myself into. During the first “interview” with Coach Chris he asked “what’s been keeping you from reaching your fitness goals?” “not having any?” “Really? Then why do this, why join our gym?” “Well (my wife) wanted to join and i’ve done way stupider stuff for girls i didn't love nearly as much.” At first it was impossible, the workouts were so hard, but the coaches would offer scaled versions to accommodate my ability. For days i would walk down stairs like a broken robot. The humbling experience of learning how to jump rope for the first time since elementary school… 3 mornings a week, 1hr ea… warm up, workout of the day, post workout stretch… after a couple months i started going 5 mornings a week @ 515am and it was TRANSFORMATIVE! When the ad says get in “the best shape of your life” It isn't a lie. LIV has the whole package The Expertise - this is important, likely the most important and everything else stems from this. Steph and Chris bring top flight expertise to the style of coaching, the equipment supplied and the physical amenities of the gym. The Community - no doubt, members are putting it all out on the floor each day and being able to commiserate with your fellow sufferers is almost as rewarding as collectively celebrating our gym mates achievements. There is a welcoming kindness pervasive throughout this gym. Are all CrossFit gyms like that? I don't know, i just know that this place is. We are of various ages, abilities, experience and backgrounds and we regularly engage in debates about cheesecakes and why mint is delicious or just for toothpaste… The Workout - follow the program, let them break you down in order to build back up. From training on form that flows into performance that flows into results. The exercises are balanced between range of motion, form training, strength training, cardio…again all done on/with equipment that is in great shape, with amazing guidance. The Coaches - this is where it truly comes together. Why does the CrossFit model work? Because you have 12 people sharing one coach. They approach each LIV athlete at their ability level, know what our goals are and when/how to push us for that next rep, that heavier load, more difficult progression. And they are all DELIGHTFUL! Each brings a different flavor to their classes and as a LIV athlete switching up class schedule to train with all the Coaches offers new perspectives to learn from. So, yeah, I’m not quite 50 and because of LIV’s expertise, community, program and Coaches, I want to go train every day of the week, I want to get better at rowing, running, lifting, I want to see my gym mates and cheer on their accomplishments. And i get to share this journey with my favorite person. Between work schedules, kids, etc…my wife and i didn't have something we were working on together…when she sent me a video of a rope climb day @ the gym…the smile on her face made me swoon all over again. All the members are great and the coaches are BY FAR the best in town! They genuinely care about the members and they invest so much of their time on us ensuring that we get the best quality workouts and the best results. I've had the opportunity to work 1:1 with some of the coaches (outside of our daily classes) and it's made all the difference for me. Coach Rachel is amazing, she has been working with me on kipping pull-ups. I'm still a work in progress, but without her feedback and helpful tips, I wouldn't be where I am now. Coach Steph is phenomenal! I've been lucky to have three 1:1's with her, Handstands, Ski Erg, and Cleans. She is extremely knowledgeable and she has a way of explaining things that it just "clicks". I signed up for the Liv Athletic Challenge. One week in and what a great experience so far. A VERY encouraging group of coaches and members. People of all ability levels working hard to attain their goals. It's funny, I've never worked out so hard before, and I've never actually wanted to work out. Now I'm pumped to go to the gym. Most supportive gym environment I have ever experienced. Instructors are all well qualified which maximizes results, and prevents injuries. They tailor workouts to your individual needs, and it is always challenging and fun.

I can't say enough great things about this place. It rocks! There are people from all walks of life here, but we are all family. The coaches love their jobs which makes LivAthletic a great environment. Thanks for all that you all do!

My first experience here was amazing. I felt welcomed, safe and comfortable to try a type of workout I have never done before. If you want to get in shape LIV Athletic is absolutely worth trying.

I was in town with my wife for a reunion she was attending so I wanted to check out the local CrossFit gyms it was really nice especially the shower. Great gym! They take care of their athletes! Have gone to the gym numerous times!

The coaches have an excellent understanding of sports medicine and apply it from the start of the warm up, through the workout, and into the cool down. I've been to a few boxes, and none have been as thorough as LivAtheltic (Crossfit Gainesville). And of course, there's that wonderful family friendly vibe with every class.

I love LIV Athletic! The coaches are all amazing and very patient; especially with beginners. They all make you feel welcome and you get a great workout! I definitely recommend it! The workouts are very challenging and there is no monotony. There is a different workout everyday.

Such a professional CF gym as a big family for me!

Liv Athletic provides a variety of class times (morning, noon, and evening) which is fantastic for athletes hoping to catch a workout around the clock--you can't beat that. I love that the owners (Chris and Stephanie) teach classes at the gym also. They're excellent coaches! Very knowledgeable.. Awesome coaches who are well informed. The workouts are great!

Outstanding gym with knowledgeable staff. Tried it out for a couple months and loved it, but sadly couldn't get a fit with my schedule. Smaller group classes lead by attentive coaches that watch and correct form. Learned a lot in short time frame. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.
