I had been struggling with significant weakness in my hand for years due to idiopathic neuropathy, especially with fine motor tasks. After working with Dr. Angie using StimPod therapy, I noticed real, tangible improvements. I was able to use tools like a nail clipper and a can opener much more easily—things that had become very difficult for me without using my own ways of coping.One of the most meaningful changes was that, when I had a fever in the past, I completely lost the use of my hand. It was terrifying, and I dreaded getting sick again. This year, during my StimPod treatments, I came down with another fever, but did not lose nearly the same strength or mobility, which was a huge difference.I also hadn’t been able to cross my fingers in years due to weakness, and after these sessions, I was finally able to do it again! Alright folks — get comfortable, because this one is a bit long.I stumbled across Dr. Angie DeBorja online after realizing I had driven past her office on the avenue countless times without knowing what incredible healing was happening inside.I’ve lived with chronic back pain for over ten years after being struck by a car as a pedestrian, along with other injuries that led to recurring, debilitating flare-ups. Twice those flare-ups put me in the hospital for days at a time. Over the years I’ve seen every kind of traditional doctor, tried every test — X-rays, MRIs, CT scans — taken the medications, followed the protocols. I also explored many alternative therapies, some of which brought short-term relief. But no matter the approach, nothing created lasting change.What hurt almost as much as the pain itself was how unseen I felt. Being told, “At least the scans didn’t show anything!” sounds comforting, but when you’re in severe pain, it feels invalidating. Myofacial release and physical therapy with Dr. Angie has been so helpful. I’ve been managing stuck muscles and chronic pain in my neck and shoulders from an RSI developed in early adulthood. I’m so encouraged that even after 25 years they are easier to unwind after treatments. The hands-on treatments with Dr. Angie is about the best I’ve had! Such bliss. Super grateful to Dr. Angie.
